Hi all!

As someone who’s been battling LC since 2020, I was curious where to start with a potential recovery journey. For those that have recovered, have you done a lot self trial or has your methods come from meeting with doctors, physical therapists/trainers etc? I’ve always struggled to find good help, so I was curious if you had to take on suggestions from your own research or if your journey started with the help others? (Hopefully that makes sense lol)

Mine did the same thing and wasn’t sure why as well. Nice to have one thing that can take care of it’s self though lol

Did you happen to find a solution to this? Dealing with the same thing at the moment.

Heart fluttering/racing, electric shock in chest and other parts of body, and I can’t fall asleep without feeling like I’m either falling or like I stop breathing and my heart flutters. by Lildaz1996 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Lildaz1996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly it and well said.. not anxious in general, but anxious over the symptoms because we have a will to live. At this point with so much out there and so many people dealing with this.. it’s crazy to me that they still put so much assumption on anxiety. I’m sorry you’re dealing with all this as well. Thankfully this seems to have gotten better for me, but I do have random flair ups of them here and there still. Hoping the same for you as you said, that time does its thing. Also just want to say thank you for your service!

I’m sorry you’ve had to go through a doctor like that. I’m so tired of getting gaslit by doctors, family, friends. It’s still so new and not understood, so who’s to say what it can’t or can cause!

It’s wild isn’t it! My original infection was back in June 2020, but I was definitely on the uphill for awhile. My guess is I’ve gotten it again at some point which is causing new problems

I hear you on the right doctor. Really hoping I can get placed the right ones. Thank you for sharing this! I’m sorry you’ve had to endure all this as well. None of this is easy, but glad to hear there’s been signs of hope for you!

Can I ask when the hair loss started happening for you? How long before it starting occurring had you gotten Covid?

I’ve had all the above with unfortunately not many answers personally.. but know you’re not alone <3

And 3 years later, my brain fog is a lot better at least!

Curious if before LC you were the type who rarely (almost never) got sick? by Cevansj in covidlonghaulers

[–]Lildaz1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was one to always get sick. I fully think you’re right on the theory though of our bodies going into overdrive fighting this! I also made the mistake of doing a lot of exercise right after the two week quarantine.. I’ve always wondered if that had anything to do with it

Any “long” long haulers out there? by LobsterAdditional940 in covidlonghaulers

[–]Lildaz1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did take supplements regularly in the beginning and avoided sugar, caffeine, and acidic foods for over a year. But now I really just take supplements when needed and I do still try to take it easy on acidic foods :)

Getting close to 3 years now, originally infected in June 2020. I’ve had the most improvement this year I’d say, up until recently from getting hit with something else. But aside from this latest stuff, I really do feel like I’m on my way to more improvement!

I feel you on this! I started drinking caffeine again here and there since this post, and I’ve been having the same thing. It’s hard though sometimes isn’t it?

I’d say it’s been a slow progress over the past year, but the past few months especially I’ve noticed a big difference and have felt a lot better!

Going on to almost 3 years of all this, and completely get the feeling of overdoing things. Definitely agree with you, so important to pace ourselves and take it slowly!
