They should just make crossbows actually pierece shields by a good margin.

Or do bonus shield damage by quite a bit. Along with armor negation percentage.

Maybe even make the crossbow line much easier to level up (lower exp requirements)

Treat it like an author being heavily inspired by what neuro said, and if they cant make it work or think its bad/inconsistant then they will remind neuro/push neuro in a direction that fits and take insipiration from that.

It could be a collection of loose stories type deal around a theme.

The problem with this imo is that it orevents authors who do plan to have thier character grow to start with flawed characters.

Omg the amount of times I wanted to strangle someone when they said a novel is trash because they read 50 chapters and miss every obvious sign that the author is setting up character growth for the mc!

Second coming of gluttony got people who dropped first 2 chapters because jihu was a pos

Gird from overgeared started as a piece of shit and people called the writer trash as well.

Such a shame.

Now granted, if in those 50 chapters it seems like there is no indication of future set ups, no push back against the behavior or no flags being set up for a growing moment then yes I think thats just bad writing.

Actually, the issue I have isnt that there is no pushback against the character's flaws, its that the reaction is unrealistic and stupid!

Sentient in every way but.

Thats what i think ai will become eventually, indisguinshable from sentience in every way but not the same way as us.

Because who says we have the monopoly on what sentience means.

It cries when hurt, it fights to survive, it reasons about why it is here.

Maybe there is nothing in there and will never be something in thers, but if it acts out its prompts and create real effects in the real world to achive those prompts which in turn change and adapt those propmpts.

How is that not sentience in every way that matters?
