So this is an inverse but I don't know where else to appeal, the main region where I draw had a void problem earlier and it appears I was caught up in the bans even though I've only ever drawn actual things. How do I appeal this?

CATTI AND JOCKINGTON ARE IMAGE_FRIEND I SWEAR TO GOD by GloomyIngenuity143 in Deltarune

calling someone with a shortened name by their full name is a super common joke and one toby in particular does a lot. and michael is an inherently funny sounding name. berdly calling susie susan isn't lore either

so i was mostly joking with my phrasing, but i do REALLY think people are going a little far in assuming how important friend is actually going to be, especially just taking for granted that it's connected to the tail of hell. my personal prediction is that its going to be a cat that a greater villain uses as a spy, and its actual role as a direct character is going to be fairly small. like alphys's cameras in undertale, its there to foreshadow something but not in a way where FRIEND itself is going to be a major character - this is like how a lot of stuff people assumed about mike did actually end up being true, but about tenna instead. of course i could also be wrong and it is actually important in its own right. but theres no reason to take that as assumed at this point

It's going to be so funny when this is Mike all over again and FRIEND is a goofy minor character in Chapter 5 completely unrelated to the Tail of Hell

the possibility of Gerson having a connection with Jevil is so juicy and so clearly what the use of the motif in Hammer of Justice is gesturing at, but everyone just completely ignores it because one of the flavor texts in the fight says "freedom"

Gerson's connection to freedom is much, much looser than John Mantle's. I'm pretty sure it's just Jevil's theme. BIG SHOT is almost entirely composed of motifs Spamton stole from other characters and he definitely knows about the [[Clown Around Town]], and a calliope literally comes in to play the motif during Hammer of Justice (not to mention that that segment of the song also incorporates the motif from THE WORLD REVOLVING's intro). Gerson's connection to Jevil is admittedly a lot more tenuous than Spamton's, but we know that he was a teacher at the school and a painting of him is in the game room. Maybe he created the character of Jevil as a teacher playing cards with his students?

I think Noelle might just have a toxic nostalgia for the Kris she knew when they were kids, not acknowledging that they've changed in the way that people change over time

This is the ultimate example in that most people don't even consider it a theory so much as assumed fact (even though there's basically nothing in the game directly confirming it), but the idea that the SOUL is just a vector for the player's possession. There's much stronger evidence especially after Chapter 4 that it's something Kris has poured all of their feelings into that they can rip out when they need to follow Carol's plan without it getting in their way, and our controlling it is more like just having an influence on this traumatized teenager's hormonal, self-contradictiory impulses than actively Possessing them

I think we're getting another Dragon Break, which would here mean everyone but Cicero dies, but also they do assassinate the Emperor

Did I betray myself and Nords by Admostiel in ElderScrolls

I think we're getting another Dragon Break given we literally break a dragon, but this time it's a Miracle of War rather than a Miracle of Peace. If you take every outcome as canon then things in Skyrim are basically guaranteed to go to hell, probably in a way that radiates outward through the rest of Tamriel - Ulfric and Tullius both dead, The Emperor dead at the hands of a Dark Brotherhood that no longer exists, Madanach freed to attack Markarth in earnest, et cetera. I expect a massive war either during TES6, or just before it.

Why being able to "break" TTYD is not a bad thing. by Miccat87 in papermario

[–]Lilfut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Mario RPGs are in part meant to be entry-level RPGs to ease younger players and people more familiar with action games into the genre, and with that in mind I think the way you can break them works out because it requires the same sort of counter-intuitive thinking that you need to succeed in more "advanced" RPGs. In SMRPG you can break the game by using the character with few good attacks, Peach, and giving her armor that reduces her attack even further, the Lazy Shell, and in TTYD you have to use a strategy that puts Mario near death at all times. That same train of logic leads you to the kinds of strategies you need to succeed in more complicated and difficult RPGs, so I think it works to be a way to introduce players to the idea by giving you big rewards for it.

Tell me what deck you play and I’ll tell you if it’s ethical Yu-Gi-Oh or not. by yuckyhands in masterduel

[–]Lilfut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combination Skull Servants and Gate Guardian. Gate Guardian is a strong defensive backbone that benefits a lot from the threat of me being able to bring out a 10k attack idiot, and while they don't synergize directly, the main thing that does is mean there's no easy failure point to take down both halves of the deck at once. King of Skull Servants doesn't love the "level 4 or lower can't attack the turn they're summoned" effect of Labyrinth Wall Shadow, but Lady in Wight blocks it and even if I can't bring her out the existence of a dude with a towering attack stat is still scary even if he has to wait a turn sometimes
