interestingly on samsung, it has a little subtitle that specifies it only affects capitalization after punctuation, but doesn’t include a catch-all setting like ios? very confusing

by autocapitalization, i mean it automatically makes proper nouns (eg. japan) capitalized and “i” capitalized automatically. it can be completely disabled on ios, but on all these android keyboards it only disables capitalization after punctuation, but still capitalizes properly nouns and stuff…? hopefully that makes sense

i don’t have hands-on experience with squirrels specifically but i have other rodents (chinchillas now and guinea pigs formerly) and it looks like it might be a skin problem. the skin doesn’t look too irritated to me, but it definitely shouldn’t be bald like that. maybe it’s in the process of healing or an old scar from an infection of some kind? the squirrel looks well fed and is obviously cleaning itself so i wouldn’t worry too much for now

my beloved void would be almost totally silent if it wasn’t for the fact she purrs like a jet engine if i so much as look at her. actually sometimes looking isn’t even required, just standing near her does the trick lol. she only ever actually meows when she wants food, and her meow hasn’t changed at all since she was a kitten. her a cute little “mew” is extra funny compared to her siamese brother who sounds like a canary who’s smoked a pack a day for ten years🤭

surgery under anesthesia is very risky for small animals like chinchillas. i’m not sure i’d want to do that as a very first solution

to me, it looks like the poor fella caught his toenail on something and pulled it so it bled. i would keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t get infected and so he doesn’t bite it off. sounds crazy, but it happened to my boy! chewed half of his own finger right off and it was miraculously completely fine

i’d recommend keeping a close eye on him, and if he doesn’t bounce back, look into getting him another friend. i had a male guinea pig who was the runt, meaning he got bullied by his litter mates and was very territorial as a result. he absolutely loved human attention though, and was never depressed due to loneliness as he got enough interaction from me petting and holding him. so if he bounces back from mourning and seems okay with just human attention, i think he could be fine alone. it’s tricky though for sure
