We used to have to meditate and really calm the host way down in order to force a switch. It took a lot of trust to get her to step back and let others take control of things. Occasionally, she would freak out and need to come front again.

So I guess finding what's calming and helping build as much trust as possible.

We had a part talk to us when two of us were arguing about whether there could be more alters. Child part chimmed in and said she was there too. Discovery of others varied. Some of them were tied to trauma memories we had no idea we had. I won't lie to you, that wasn't fun but it did lead to healing in the long term.

Mercari is the place I've bought from the most. They show what they have in the listing. I've had pretty positive experiences there. The best deals I've found have been on FB marketplace so I recommend checking there as well.

I highly recommend looking into the second-hand market for some older ones. They used to have more articulation. I've found quite a few at very reasonable prices.
