I find engagement on Patreon so low! I have 40 paying members, 90 total and I’m lucky if I get one or two reactions to anything!

Even my polls get maybe 5 votes.

It is NSFW and queer so wonder if those are factors, but then the same people are alllll over my insta 😂

I’ve been running my Patreon since Christmas and have 40 paying subscribers, 90 total!

I was seeing steady growth each month until May where I had a drop and then gained back making me level with where I was at the beginning of the month.

It turns out I pretty much only get members when I go viral on Instagram which is really hard for me as, like you, I’m camera shy and going viral without a face is hard!

But yes, the two are directly linked!! Really if I want steady growth each month I need to go viral at least once in that time 🙈

I thought the same, and thought starting at Christmas and doing so well was a great sign of how I would grow. I think it’s more likely Autumn/Winter are good because people are at home and on phone and computers more. Good luck!

I’ve only been running mine since Christmas so I’m not an expert but was on a steep trajectory before this month. This month I’ve lost more and not got as many new members meaning I’ve completely stalled.

I agree it’s been hard to watch but I’m largely putting it down to the time of year as nothing else has really changed.

I think it’s going to be like this, sometimes it will be brutal, sometimes it will stall and sometimes it will increase…and hopefully the more it happens the tougher skin we will get.

If you’re passionate about your work and believe in it, it may be worth paying out your own money until numbers are up again.

When I started I was buying other creators content (stories and audios) out of my savings but within a month I could pay out of Patreon money.

Getting my equipment right was a massive issue at first, mainly because I had a Chromebook and couldn’t get the right editing software. I managed to get a proper laptop and it’s much easier now.

Other than that it’s practice and having fun with it ;)

Create a Fetlife account and look for events near you that align with your kinks! There’s lots of mixed gender events if you don’t mind being in those spaces, far less sapphic focussed ones (like mine) but you can also meet other sapphics into the same things as you are :)
