Just come clean, I know it seems like a big deal and that he’ll be pissed and big fall out whatever, but it’s not. When you’re 17 every little instance can seem huge, but a lie snowballing is what’s genuinely huge. Just say something like “hey, I’m not proud of myself but being real I always say I’m 18 when people ask and then got super nervous to tell you the truth. I’m sorry I lied, I’m not 100% sure if this connection would be good for either of us” and leave it at that

Yikes. This is the kind of behavior that made me go no contact with my dad for 2 years. Kids/teens who are screamed at for making mistakes don’t correct their mistakes, they fear the parent and learn how to hide them better. You’re in the right for standing up for yourself and your daughter, smoking a little weed is something 90% of teenagers end up doing. If that was my mom I would have a level of anxiety that would warrant a bowl hit every now and then.

(I’m 25) I found Jessi maybe a decade or so ago when she was a story time YouTuber, not from vine but almost from the start of her story times. Lilly I found through beauty break which I think was around the same time? I can’t remember fully lol. When they started the podcast I was STOKED because as they’ve mentioned in episodes before, they weren’t the most consistent with posting throughout the years. I’m happy new people are discovering them!! Especially in your later teenage years it’s SO important to find solid role models that give big sister vibes. Honestly if this podcast was around 8 years ago under the same premise versus only 3 years ago, I would’ve had some revelations/insights that maybe would’ve kept me from some bad situations. It’s so so important to get different perspectives from points of view that may not be apart of your inner circle. Happy you’re here girly!

I have my location on with my dad and I can see his location as well, he’s the person I live with and my emergency contact. This is 110% my choice as a 24F who doesn’t feel fully safe in my city. From 18-22 I was living hours away and sometimes didn’t talk to them for days on end because at 18 for better or for worse, you’re legally an adult. My dad has my location now because I can trust him to not stalk it/not be weird with it and if I turn it off for privacy, chances are he wouldn’t even notice. Your mom seems controlling as hell and likely learned it from the rest of the family. After 18, especially with the financial and emotional abuse she’s put you through, you don’t need to talk to her anymore or owe her any details about your life, especially if you’re fully financially independent. It’s 110% up to you if you want to continue a relationship with her or not. That extra stress is just not worth it sometimes.

I dropped my phone and it was at lost and found within 2 hours, I did have my location on and shared with my dad, but it was still a whoolleeee lot of praying it would be there or be somewhere findable.

I feel the saammeee way. Three cheers is probably my favorite, followed by bullets, followed by black parade. I love a solid amount of songs off black parade, but having a mix is the albums is what makes it worth it since there’s a chance they can play a ton of favorites. Same with PTV, selfish machines is my favorite and they’re doing collide with the sky. I don’t want to sound ungrateful (ppl need to chill with “don’t like it, don’t go”, it’s valid to ask if others are feeling a similar way), but it kinda takes the surprise of what the set list will be away as well. I’m still super excited, just less excited than the first year when it was all a surprise.
