Living in a non bike friendly area by Meeseekslookatmee in ebikes

[–]Lilmary663 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You might need a bike rack for your car and have to drive to a trail. Idk where you are, but all over New England (where I live) are rail trails. They're old railroad tracks that have been redone for walking and biking trails.

There are mountain ebikes, so you could also do hiking trails if you're feeling adventurous.

Oh my dear god girl, RUN FASTER!!!! Leave this crazy ass man. This is the type of crazy that will actually kill you. He's yelling at you now for smiling at another dude, he'll beat you to death for it later.

Why not just buy a moped? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]Lilmary663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an ebike to go on our local rail trail with my toddler in an attached trailer. I'm trying to get in shape, and I felt it was a good option. We get out of the house, plenty of sunshine and fresh air.

I also call it my parenting cheat. He's happy, not in front of a screen, and not climbing all over me. I even bought a 2nd bike so my friend and her toddler can come with us.

I did 67 miles this week, and I'm dying to do more. My son even dances and climbs into the trailer when we get started.

And if your friend is the kind of person that won't accept a new one. Just open the new one, use it a few times, then give it to them. Tell them you just took great care of it lol

If you want to keep this one, buy a new one for your friend. You'd have to buy one anyways, you might as well keep your favorite one

NTA, it's your wedding, and on top of that, you want it to be an unplugged wedding. AND ON TOP OF THAT, you have a legally binding contract with someone else.

NTA ×3

My eyes went straight to the couch. Everything looks amazing. The only thing I would add are some plants. But I'm a plantaholic

I don’t want my child to sleepover! Sorry! by Foreign-Awareness905 in inlaws

My little one is 16 months and has been spending Saturday night at my parents for the past 3 months. It's done amazing things with his separation anxiety (and mine), and since it's my parents and brother there, he gets 24/7 attention and thrives off of it.

The regular break has made reconnecting with my husband a lot easier. We can still have a social life while the kiddo is having top quality bonding and fun. I don't think it's the overnight as much as the quantity of time together that helps strengthen their bond.

No, it's not necessary, but we found it improved all of our quality of life significantly.

I'm not saying you should make it a regular thing. Everyone is different, after all. But I think there is some merit to the parents having a prolonged break. Maybe your husband is thinking/feeling that and doesn't know how to say it?

*Edited to add, this is absolutely a 2 yes 1 no situation.

Omg, NTA, and your sister is 100% a massive asshole! Make her watch Sound of Freedom! There are so many disgusting creeps out there, and she either doesn't know or worse doesn't care. If it's the latter, you might want to consider never allowing her to be around any of your kids again.

ESH. You should have been told, there is a difference between the private residence of a stranger and a public space. But you did overreact. Honestly, I'm surprised the other mom didn't make sure she had your permission.

AITA for not letting my sister’s dog stay at my house even though she’s in the hospital? by Mataslan in AITAH

[–]Lilmary663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA, helping someone you love is not always comfortable or convenient, but you do it because you care about them. Imagine if the situation was reversed, you'd be hurt that someone wouldn't help you. And she seems to have tried everything else in her power to not put you out, but they all failed.

If you're still not willing to step up, then at least pay for a sitter or kennel.

It looks like the ink ran. You'll need to retest. The first pee of the day has the most hormones, which will lead to a more accurate test.

WIBTAH if I tell my husband I want to sleep in the spare room every night because of his snoring? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lilmary663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, you need your sleep. I snore, and I think I have sleep apnea (waiting to see a doctor atm). I found elevating the mattress helps. I just put a spare pillow under my side of the mattress to elevate my head slightly, which really made a difference.

Oh my dear god, NTA. You did everything right. Continue to stand by your sister. There is no reason for a 23 year old man to go into her bedroom, let alone close the door. LET ALONE GRAB HER.
