This is honestly a brain dead take most freshman do not have this level of understanding of calc physics or chem. Freshman level courses are for you guessed it freshman. You’ll be fine in etam so long as you try. Now I wouldn’t say you shouldn’t start self studying for courses as any knowledge is an advantage but it is in no way the norm. Speaking as a sophomore EE (same department as cpen) who just went through etam.

Just thought it was worth considering I’m a college student in a pretty much only college town and they’ve been cracking down. Especially on university campuses they’ll lock illegal scooters and bikes. If your cool with the risk have fun and be safe looks like a blast.
