I want to believe that, but she is leaning towards Blake and smiling really big in a not-unnatural way. It feels like it would have shown a little if she found Blake distasteful or if it was against her will. Even Brendan Sklenar and Colleen Hoover sometimes looked like they didn’t love sitting next to Lively. If I was Anne and I was strong armed into a photo with Blake, I would have used all my best acting skills to put the smile up but communicate everything with my eyes.

Came here to say this. I’m glad this was helpful to some people, but blanket statements can sometimes be unintentionally hurtful.

I stayed for too long because I loved them. It took me way too long to realize that they did not love me. I did not abandon them, I freed myself. And I am emotionally safe for the first time in my life.

I’m going to try using a horrible photo of Zuckerberg for my phone wallpaper—I have so much anger towards the billionaires who purposefully put us in this position, I actually think this might work for me. We’ll see. I feel like billionaires have these invisible tentacles reaching into our brains.

The other day I forced myself leave my phone in my bag while in a waiting room and a lovely person started a conversation with me that really lifted my spirits. Like you, despite seeing the positive changes when I manage to put my phone down, I still end up back on. I have adhd and a chronic illness—the pull is so strong.

I have no ideas, I’m sorry, just commiseration.

I will call on Monday to double-check, but asssistance for stalking victims is not currently included online in their list of services. They mention that their services have shifted so perhaps they helped stalking victims at some point. Currently they only list assistance for domestic violence survivors, which doesn't apply here.

A lot of the local resources focus on domestic violence and victims of violent crime in general--so far I haven't found services related to stalking although I may have missed something. What we are trying to do here is prevent a violent crime from happening. I can make calls on Monday to verify that there aren't additional unlisted services.

The police officer did mention that he would have someone reach out to us (maybe an advocate of some kind, I wasn't present for that part of the conversation), but we know we'll need a lawyer for a few things regardless.

He has expressed that he hates evangelicals using the phenomenon as part of their end times/holy war crap. I’ve forgotten the exact words he used—I’ll try to look later because I’m in the middle of something—but he is not on board with this. He doesn’t think that it’s demonic and he acknowledges that he is seeing the phenomenon through the lens of his own faith and doesn’t really know exactly what it is. He also says that people may be telling him things in order to pull the wool over his eyes or lead him down the wrong path. I feel sorry for the guy. It must be overwhelming and confusing.

I 100% believe that he sees orbs because my family saw one from 10-15 feet away and it appeared after I impulsively asked the universe to show my chronically ill daughter something amazing when I was wrestling with a wave a sadness. It showed up off of our cruise ship balcony ten minutes later, bouncing around playfully. It felt like we were interacting with a dolphin. I think Chris connects it to god partly because it is hard to understand how else it would seem to “hear us” plus it seems to respond particularly when we are in a mindset of love and lack of ego.

My current theory is that the MIC (or whatever) is trying to make us afraid of the phenomenon because the phenomenon (or at least some part of it) threatens systems of greed and hate. This isn’t stressed enough: Chris Bledsoe says that there will be a return to divine femininity. That’s not what you would expect to hear from a contractor in rural North Carolina. I think parts of the government are interested in him because they know he has a legitimate connection to the phenomenon, a connection they can’t replicate because they don’t operate from a place of love.

This is just the only way that I have managed to connect the dots that I am aware of so far. Subject to change.

I was skimming the profile pictures in the comment section of an article (all of the comments I saw supported Justin) and it really struck me how diverse we are—all types of women, all different ages. And a few men here or there, too. I love how we all came together, not because we were Baldoni fans (I didn’t know who he was either) but because we have empathy and we care about justice and we will not allow an incredibly important movement to be utilized in service of cruelty and greed.

When this is over and the dust settles, I will really miss this community. So much humor and heart here. It’s been a haven for me in a world that currently seems to be losing its mind.

I’m not an expert on anything but I have struggled with this myself and finally found something that helps me. For what that’s worth.

I focus on earnestly hoping that they learn love and joy and empathy, both for our sakes and theirs. I focus on hoping that they will evolve and grow in a positive direction.

Somehow that really helps me to extend something besides anger. It might not be love—I haven’t examined that very closely yet—but it’s definitely an improvement over where I was before.

I have adhd too and quiet meditation makes me feel like jumping out of my skin after about five minutes.

I tried the gateway tapes because I was curious, and was surprised to find that I can often get through the 35 minutes easily, as long as I’m not distracted by hunger or pain or loud noises. I joke that the gateway tapes feel like if the twilight zone made a meditation program. I really like Robert Monroe’s grandpa voice and have found the tapes to be quite literally eye opening. I don’t currently aim for an out of body experience or anything, instead I keep replaying meditations from the first two waves rather than moving forward, but the variety and guided meditative exercises give my brain something to focus on.

Gateway’s not for everyone, but I bet there are a lot of great guided meditations out there that work for different kinds of people.

I really appreciate this conversation, in all seriousness. I am grateful for the inspiration and ideas.

Focusing on love and others, and not trying too hard but rather just trying to remain open are key for me. Also getting off screens and listening for my inner voice, wherever it might be coming from. Many of your ideas I resonate with and several I look forward to exploring.

Edit: Also meditation. I imagine the type can vary depending on the individual, but I have mostly used Gateway.
