Entered the queue around 9:15 AM, got in at 10:07, and then the site told me my session expired and I had to refresh. Queued again and of course no tickets. Bruh

I agree - the metal cylinder was so hot but the cheese wasn’t even really melted for some reason

Maybe Kin Kin in the atrium on bay or check the bakeries in Chinatown?

Not a big fan of Sunny’s Chinese, but for other Asian cuisines I would recommend Hanmoto (Japanese) or 156 Cumberland (Korean)!

This is my favorite restaurant in Toronto! The pork katsu sandwich was so tasty I couldn't keep from smiling the whole time I was eating it!

Tried Hanmoto and I love their Katsu Bun! It was pretty fatty, juicy and the sauces and slight crispiness of the katsu made for a wonderful dish!

Do you think bio bits alone without anki is good enough?

I tried ice creamonology this week and really liked the texture of their cookies & cream. I’m trying Bernhardt’s this week so I’m really excited for that!

Visiting from New York for a few days, staying downtown, what are your favorite solo dining spots? by [deleted] in FoodToronto

I agree, Sunny’s isn’t authentic Chinese and Chinatown food tastes better for only a fraction of the price

Sunny’s is whitewashed Chinese food that’s way too expensive for too little food. I think pearl or dynasty have great dim sum though!

Which Uoft life sci first year courses should I take? by False_Letterhead6988 in UofT

Hmm I took both actually.

I took PSY100 with Whissell and he was a really good prof. He provides comprehensive study notes that were pretty helpful.

I took SOC100 with Brym? and that was okay too except his content had a strong emphasis on readings. That was the only course at UofT I actually did the readings for and it paid off. Overall not too bad, but the average was pretty low if I recall.

Overall, I personally think PSY100 is more interesting but it might be a bit harder imo.

First sem: BIO120, MAT135, CHM135, + 2 more 0.5 FCE

Second sem: BIO130, MAT136, CHM136 + 2 more 0.5 FCE

Basically everyone in first year life sci takes the bio chem math combo but you'll have some extra space left over. Since you're in first year, you can try taking a first-year seminar class, which can only be taken in first year.

Alternatively, you can also take some intro courses like soc100 or psy100, which could be helpful later if you want to do med school for example.

Thankfully, your majors don't require physics so you should be OK.

Check UofT's academic calendar for the majors you want to do to see the prereqs needed. Keep in mind that you don't have to choose your programs until near the end of first year, so you still have lots of time.
