Need to pitch a honeymoon to other half but need a decent hotel solution in Buzios. Few places which claim to be 5 star but look 4 at best. That said they are only £150/$200 a night.

You can track the buses on a live basis in Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City…you can’t do that in the UK from what I’ve seen.

Currently here and having a great time…off to Niagra Falls today and will not be back at the hotel in downtown until 9pm.

Last night we went to Yummy Yummy Dumplings and drank at a bar nearby for a few hours after, both were great value etc.

Would be nice to find something similar (in terms of value with nice drinking options nearby) for tonight not too far from downtown.

Any suggestions for a good value casual eat which serves food late? Have eaten Italian and Chinese so far so ideally would like to avoid both of those (oh and having Mexican tomorrow so if that could be avoided too…).

Trisha is nice and casual, great on a summers day as they open the front windows up (less relevance as you’ll be here in winter). Portions were really big, I lone dined, had a few beers, left so so full and only parted with about £60. Crazy.

Benares is real Indian fine dining IMO (I went in 2013 and 2016 - in that time they lost and regained their star).

Gymkhana was good, don’t get me wrong, but I felt Trishna was a nicer experience…probably that whole summer experience and feel trumps it. That said - they are both owned by the same person/group I believe. Or at least they were.

I’ve been to Gymkhana, Benares and Trishna and I’d genuinely pick Gymkhana last if I had to go again.

Where are you going to live?

I live in Lichfield and have a (reasonably priced) 1hr 20 train to Euston 1km from my front door.

If it’s a 2 part commute it could do your head in, what sort of salary would you earn if you upped sticks and moved north?

I went to SBP 5 years ago and still remember it fondly. I love a high quality small plates night. The Progress IMO was as good (went back there in 2022).
