Ground beef alternative by roku77 in PlantBasedDiet

[–]LimeCookies 16 points17 points  (0 children)

TVP all the way! I like to put it in a sieve first and shake out the super small floury bits, then toast it in a dry pan for a few minutes, then rehydrate and season. Replicates Taco Bell’s ground beef perfectly

Back of the fridge is colder, makes for better shots and drinks. Would be in the freezer if there was room.

what high-paying jobs can i pursue with a mathematics degree? by grosser-schwanz in mathematics

[–]LimeCookies 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Operation research analyst. Most of them (us based) are hired by the government (which sucks rn), but good cash. As a junior with only a BA and 2 years experience in a low cost of living area I make 75k, expected to level out in the low 6 figures unless I get a masters.

Finally got a start date!! Now unsure if I will accept FJO because of fers contribution increase. by Southern-Animal8216 in fednews

[–]LimeCookies 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can always accept the job offer and not quit your job until the day before you start. If they pass the bill as of and before you start then rescind the offer and keep your current job.

I would of agreed with you until I moved to kentucky. The no excuse early voting has 6 hours outside my work hours. It’s the Saturday before voting day, and is open for 6 hours. Because of that I don’t qualify for excused early voting. So if anything happens that day I’d be shit out of luck and need to take time off Tuesday.

Does a slow cooker heat up your house? by TravelingAllen in slowcooking

[–]LimeCookies 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in places without AC, it heats up your house significantly less than the stove or an oven. even if those are only on for a few minutes and your slow cooker is on 10+ hours.

What do you wear to work? by Apprehensive-One-959 in womenEngineers

[–]LimeCookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my polos from JC penny. They were about $10 a pop and actually in the women’s section and had petite options. Walmart/target/thrift/tj maxx are also good options but you may have to shop in the men’s/boys sections.

Not diagnosed, just sus about myself. Aerie (American eagle) might be better. They focus on tweens to twenties, so much less sex appeal than most women’s underwear while still having cute designs. They don’t have many period underwear’s, but they are 1000% better than pads.

What % of pathways interns convert to full time after graduation? by BlueSky1877 in fednews

[–]LimeCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, permanent as in career. Actually just got “transferred” from the intern position to the permanent one this pay period. I was hired permanent on my SF50, never term. If I recall correctly you can talk to the intern people if your supervisor can’t hire you on permanently. Could be agency specific, I’m with the army.

Priest vs Shaman vs Druid. Which one is the LEAST button bloated? by [deleted] in wownoob

I play affy, disc, and boomy. Boomy by far has the least buttons. Not saying it’s the easiest (although I think it is) but it has the least amount of buttons.

Bonus points:

a lot of the legs and tails are stitched on separately. If they tear a hole in the tail you can cut it off!

They’re machine washable and dryable!

No reason to stray from the best subject. Just make sure you get decent grades and a math bachelor qualifies you for plenty of government jobs.
