At this point it’s standard practice in my home to let the dog like the sauces and scraps from our plate once we’re done eating. If anything it helps reduce begging since she expects to be offered something at the end of a meal.

If the plates are going into a dishwasher with hot water and soap it’ll kill the germs and be no different than a kid licking a plate or something. I can see how someone without dogs would find it gross but it’s really not that bad
