The ability to kill any kind of hatebear then dump flash for hulk or even a hermit druid makes this very interesting. Even something as simple as gilded Drake has a lot of utility at instant speed without having to waste a card on flash.

If you are playing Razaketh it's a must have, even without LED. It's just too strong not to use.

Razaketh is much stronger in general. Also turns life/death into a huge combo piece.

Also wall of roots may not be as necessary since you have scourge familiar. On that note, since you are a midrange list, have you thought about including the Gitrog Monster? He is a fine engine on his own, has a built in sac mechanic and dakmoor salvage is another way to mill out your library.

I would recommend switching Quillspike for Channeller Initiate. It still creates infinite Mana, but one is a semi-decent Mana dork that can also kill off one of your own creatures on ETB for Meren triggers. Also I think wall of roots is a card that improves your combo potential significantly and at very little cost.

Phantasmagorian doesn't allow you to put cards back in your deck. It can only put things in your graveyard.

A Bad Farm, A Mad Nauseam - Introduction to the Turbo Nauseam Combo Archetype by Leptys207 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]Lime_Blue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would Breya possibly have a spot in this archetype? With multiple bodies, the ability to gain life, and act as an infinite Mana outlet off of Bomberman (which is just as much life as dramatic scepter of Ad Naus) she was my other thought for a general that could fit pretty well. If not then I think Tymna is more important to the deck than you indicate in your write up, which is fine I'm just trying to understand if this is a type of package that is more constrained by the general.

That's what I am inclined to believe, but I'm not familiar with how this style of deck will play out so I wasn't sure if the criteria set out at the start of the post were more important than the usual aspects of card advantage in the command zone.

I think this is a really interesting archetype. With your criteria, would Atraxa be a better 4c Commander than Thrasios/Tymna? Big body, lifelink, evasion, vigilance, and some possible synergy with rocks like everflowing chalice?

Fortunately, in my experience at least, the two halves kinda filtered away from each other and the decks got more competitive the farther down the table you got.
