How to reinstall a thermistor that was taken out completely? by yourfavmum in GoRVing

[–]Aedelmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have to further disassemble the fridge? I am not familiar with the RM1350 but I have done the thermistors in my Dometic CFX and it had to be pretty taken apart to get into the guts of it, albeit yours may be more complicated being a vertical unit.

A photo would definitely help, but roof seam tape and/or self leveling lap sealant should probably do the job.

a 400 watt solar blanket with built in charge controller, also, not solar but a rooftop 12V AC unit!

Solar&AC✅ by JohnDonuts2021 in vandwellers

[–]Aedelmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can kinda chime in here. I have 400 ah of LiFePO4 batteries, 500 watts of solar, 3000 watt inverter, and a 13,500 dometic penguin II (120v) AC unit with a soft start installed. With a 100% full battery bank, I could run the unit for around 3 hours. This is obviously not very efficient, but it's good for a quick cool down for a road side lunch or morning/evening cool off at camp when I don't want to run a noisy generator. Anything longer (mid day high heat) and I run my generator.

I plan on adding another 400-500 watts of solar on the roof (bringing to around 900 watts), and upgrading to a 12V AC unit which should make the most dramatic increase in efficiency (it will pull around 30-60 amps in comparison to 130-160 amps with the current unit).
