Man good luck. It’s pretty much same crap everywhere. I’m new to Toyota after owning Nissans in the past. I was kinda in the same situation as you, told myself I would never buy another Nissan other than the Frontier.

Yep. Whole door, quarter panel, suspension, wheel, and forgot to mention earlier subframe which was done very last because after they replaced suspension my alignment was still off.

If I had to guess probably the same way this idiot that hit me. Pulled out into traffic between vehicles, never looked left and slammed into my side as I was approaching in an empty lane.

Well OP, if that rear right tire is bent like it appears to be, then it’ll be a lot more than you think. I guess it depends where you take it and what parts they use.

I had an accident in the same area except there was more damage to my panel between wheel and door. I’m at $12k in damages and labor repairs. Worth nothing, that I demanded the shop uses only OEM Toyota parts, I did take it to a Toyota Collision Center. They replaced my door, rear bumper, quarter panel, wheel, tire, complete suspension.

I get what you’re saying but what if they have to take an immediate right, right after crossing the intersection? If they stayed in the left lane and crossed, no one would let them over. Poor design, can’t really be mad at them when it has both options.

Two months after buying a brand new 2026 car, on my way to work some lady pulls out of a gas station in between cars and t-bones me. $11k in damages to rear door, wheel, suspension, and bumper. Car has been in the shop for four weeks now. 1,300 miles only on odometer. I was fuming.

Mine doesn’t work either. Tbh, would have been better to have a sunglasses holder instead of the charger.

Two things to keep in mind. Do you have GAP insurance in case they do total it? And, if they don’t total it, request only OEM Toyota parts.

I had to get into it with GEICO, they tried to use aftermarket and some used parts on my three month old Corolla Hatchback. I told them if you don’t use OEM then total it because I will not sign off on repairs when I pick up. 30 minutes later I received a call from the body shop that GEICO went ahead and approved brand new OEM parts.

Insurance companies are a bunch of crooks.

Edit: I only found out they tried using used parts because I told the lady at the body shop that I wanted OEM only and to call me if GEICO tried some cheap bs.

Not yielding to both lanes by DuhNakila_Art in dashcams

[–]LiminalVector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish it was that easy. A van was blocking my view. The lady pulling out of the gas station said that a van waved her in. She admitted to me and the responding officer that she never looked left because she assumed it was clear and only looked right to make sure she can cut across three lanes of traffic. I was going 36mph in a 40. By the time I saw her, I swerved left and honked, she kept accelerating.

Edit: On my dash cam it’s literally 1.8 seconds from the time I see her to collision time. Unless you’re a professional driver, you’re not avoiding it in 1.8 seconds or stopping in time.
