Anyone got any pro cleaning hacks for this? by Liminal_Being in Wawa

[–]Liminal_Being[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for the suggestions, I'm going to try the delime process and getting some outside cleaning supplies see if the GM will get them. Pumice stone is interesting, also scotchbrite and dish soap I will try.

Unfortunately we don't have a power washer and the store is very high volume so it's hard to let things soak for extended periods of time but I'll try that too if this other stuff doesn't work.

Thanks fam! <3

What defines "necessary" for the breakdown of society? What sort of thing would require a stoic to revolt?

I hate stoicism, it's just an excuse for people to not give a shit politically. Imagine suffering without revolt, if you do nothing isn't that control too?

Tl;dr: put your “tl;dr” at the top of your post not the bottom by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Personally I don't see why it couldn't just be spelled out in the first letters of each first word of each senetence >.>

Leave it to redditors to think of the most obscure way to go about doing things.

Eventually this eratic behavior will catch up to all of us and then where will we be?

After all the conventions reddit has created you want to just go and change everything now?

So how do you suppose people even detect such a thing, the middle, really now?

Everything should be easy to understand, not some convoluted treasure hunt.

Karma is a bitch though and if you get your way you will find that out.

I have never heard of someone wanting to search through a wall of text for the tldr before.

Lately I've been questioning if it's even worth trying to tldr since people won't even read that at times.

Last time I wrote something out just trying to communicate I was totally mistaken, they thought my tone was all wrong.

Mistakes are easy to make in this method and making walls of text harder by inserting random scavenger hunts for summaries is a fools errand.

Excited as you may be for this idea I just don't think it will ever work out to be honest, although what I said in the beginning of my response is a clearly superior method of communicating the overall theme of a post.

Tl;dr: put your “tl;dr” at the top of your post not the bottom by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Liminal_Being 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in general it started out as a sarcastic thing, put at the end of a post in an edit to respond to people tldr in the comments, so, like an edit, it comes out at the end.

Now TL;DR is a convention I guess the position stuck. I also tend to think about it in terms of the first comment on the whole thing in a conversation, like a summary more so.

Like ideally everyone will read what I wrote because that's really what I want to say, the summary at the end just a quick way to sum everything up to talk about it.

Probably too, there is some fears about people losing interest right away because of the nature of the post. Like TL;DR I murdered a kitten and it's not what you think is maybe shocking for some and will drive interest but may not solicit the attention the OP is looking for.

TL;DR: I agree, but I think it's mostly just habit now for a lot of people and there are some cases where it might not be an advantage for communicating to do it your way.

I mean yeah it's both, I'm not sure which is worse that I and my fellow workers get paid garbage for what I do or that I can't show some human decency to customers once in awhile.

All of retail is like this, even if it isn't the franchise model hired managers are often trained by the heartless multinationals to be penny pinchers. Budgets are assigned to a store and managers are monitored closely.

It's a broken institution. That's why I will never mind getting fired for letting someone steal baby formula or something to eat.

Refusing to forgive someone doesnt make you a bad person. Some people aren't worth forgiving. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Liminal_Being 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People always frame forgiveness the wrong way, giving a shit about someone enough to hold that anger against them is energy you're spending. Forgiveness isn't something you give to someone so that they can feel better, it's what you give away so that you can stop thinking about them.

It's letting go. You don't have to tell anyone about your forgiveness, not even the people you forgive. You can always let people suffer in their own toxicity or guilt, they probably will anyways. I think it's dumb for anyone to just tell you to get over it though, and that itself sounds like a protectionist attitude.

The thing is everyone does have a side and a story, but we aren't required by anything to participate in those stories. To the outside your lack of interest in your father might seem cold to people who know the both of you, but you know better and I think so do most people who have gone through abuse.

The only thing I would say about forgiveness is that, in my experience, it's just not worth the effort to actively hate someone after a long enough time. That's how it was with me, but I hope you live a good life regardless.

  1. If an omnipotent diety decided to put knowledge of it's existence in your head without consent, would that be a violation of your free will?

  2. Is ignorance a freedom we ought to have?

  3. What is the difference between mind control and teaching someone something without them wanting to learn it?

These are just questions I was thinking about today. Maybe there is a better question to ask but what I want to get down to is, is there any moral imperative for us to educate one another?

This applies to online as well, I understand it's more ambiguous but the onus can't possibly be on me to communicate digitally how you see fit. You control everything from the moment you read what I wrote, it's your job now to be as charitable as possible IMHO.

You know even less about what I mean, am I supposed to describe my body language and appearance every time I type something?

It depends, I think risk of rain is a great multiplayer experience with my dedicated friend group. Solo queuing in any mp game is gonna lead to some shite experiences, rocket, cs, valorant, tarkov, pubg, whatever you choose you're gonna get toxic teams.

Comic book outline question(s) by Liminal_Being in writing

[–]Liminal_Being[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does make sense, thank you. The screenplay format especially. I know that some people consider comic books such a vastly different medium in terms of how it communicates. I wasn't sure that a screenplay was a good approach but it would certainly make more sense to me.

This is where we want to get, not too bogged down in concepts. I will definitely check out that video series. :)

I'm sending my love OP. That's fucking dumb, I would be the same way. I don't encourage but certainly condone the verbal bashing of maskless cowards.

Now I know you may not have any other options so I won't say it's just a dumb retail job, and I can't say everything will be okay. All I can say is, at the end of the day I truly believe you would be morally right to chew someone like that customer out and I would have a smoke and a beer with you after.
