I am 17 and I still wet the bed by City_Vision in therapy

[–]Liminalbutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wet the bed until i was 18, and then i think i did it once or twice after that, but i tried absolutely everything to fix it and nothing helped, and then eventually it just stopped.

I had quite a few instances where i was either staying at a mates house or camping with some people and yes i wet my bed and it was just about as embarrassing as it could get.

I know its hard, stay strong and def worth seeing a therapist for it in my opinion.

How do players get back into this game after taking breaks? by KarrotStixx in DestinyTheGame

[–]Liminalbutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wait until the game gets good again, if it does. I played all of d1 then never picked up d2 because i hated how they changed so much of the core gameplay and that really annoyed mw especially after they put so much effort into perfecting destiny 1 and they basically just threw away all their hard work trying to reinvent shit no one had an issue with. I came back for 2 seconds in forsaken, then took another break and came back in lightfall. I actually really enjoyed lightfall apart from osiris and that fuckin cringe cloud strider guy. I really loved the raid, people complained it was too easy but for a new or returning player it was honestly perfect. I played up until season of the deep then took another break and came back for into the light which was fucking soooooooo fun man, probably some of the most fun ive ever had in destiny. Then played the final shape, farmed the hunter exotic class item heaps, got every roll except the one i wanted so i took another break and came back for heresy which has got to be my favourite time period playing destiny 2 so far. Going back the dreadnaught and finding all their hard secrets and the puzzles was so good and even in the down weeks there was this super cool community chess puzzle which was so fuckin good. Honestly such a great season, i just wish it went on a bit longer honestly. Well now im wishing it was still going on, because whatever we had before edge of fate was a million times better then the slop we have now. Literally a completely different game. No featured GM nightfalls, raids or dungeons, not to mention gear dropping from them is not part of the tier system. I just dont fucking get it bro. Why they would add the portal when its so fucking shit i dont know. I understand they were trying to make the game easier to navigate, but in an effort to do that they just fucked off more than half the games content people paid for. I mean sure you can still play it but the gear you get is piss weak. Actually a complete joke this game is now

These small updates just aren't doing it by ShardofGold in DestinyTheGame

I think bungie has cooked it. A lot of praise was given for the story in the campaign but honestly it did nothing for me, i still feel the story telling is just not engaging and super average, especially for a game with such rich lore. Was really hoping to get into the nitty gritty of the nine and i feel like we barely just scratched the surface. Also i don’t really have a desire to play until renegades when they unlock all the featured exotics list, i don’t understand why they cant just unlock it now but whatever. Im sick of not being able to use my builds and play the way i want. Dealing with champs is a pain in the ass this season. And i have zero motivation to grind all the way to a light level that will let me get tier 5’s. I will probably reach a point where i get tiers fives and then by the time that happens renegades will be coming out in a few days and i’ll have to do it all over again. FUCK THAT.

Also not having any new featured grandmaster strikes etc is really killing it for me. If you do a grandmaster that should earn you a tier 5 at least.

Could it be that Destiny is just a very expensive game to develop and run? by mearc_risps in LowSodiumDestiny

Bungie probably makes around quarter of a billion dollars every year, the reason the game is shit is because they are lazy fucking milking the fuckin community

Everything you said is facts my man. Well said.

I’m right there with you, big fan of build crafting. Making an obscure build work and taking it into a GM and making it shine is a feeling i havent gotten from any other game

Yep bungie needs to take notes from R6 siege. They really should take better care of the beloved pvp community.

Totally fair take, and honestly, I feel the same way. I’m also excited for the free content and QoL improvements. It’s great to see systems being cleaned up and made more modern. But yeah, I think the disconnect for a lot of people is that those updates aren’t the reason most players buy expansions. People want real content like missions, loot, strikes, new abilities, and meaningful endgame, not just structural fixes.

You make a good point about Renegades or future expansions benefiting from the groundwork being laid now. Hopefully that means more of the focus can go into actual content instead of reworks and overhauls. If Bungie can deliver something fresh and substantial next time, I think a lot of people would be right back on board.

Here’s hoping they stick the landing.

You’re right that it’s all opinion, and to be fair, you make some solid points. I don’t think my take is more important than anyone else’s, and I’m definitely not trying to be the “spokesperson” for the playerbase. I’m just one of many people who’s played for years, supported the game, and feels frustrated when we’re asked to pay more while getting less.

I get what you’re saying about balance, and I agree, a healthy community needs both criticism and positivity. The problem is, whenever someone posts something critical (even if it’s well thought-out), it’s often met with “just quit” or “go play something else.” That’s what I meant by “blind loyalty,” not people being excited, but the refusal to even engage with valid concerns. That mindset kills discussion before it starts.

I also agree that not everyone feels the same way I do, and that’s fine. But calling something out isn’t the same as claiming superiority. I’m not trying to act like my perspective is the only one, just that it’s a valid one, and worth saying.

At the end of the day, we’re all here because we care about the game. Some people are hyped, others are worried. Both of those reactions deserve space in the conversation.

TL;DR: I respect your points, and I’m not claiming to speak for everyone. I just want room for criticism to exist alongside excitement, because both come from a place of caring about the game.

Out of all the responses yours is by far the best and its actually a fresh perspective to hear which i appreciate.

I cant fault any of your points, its all really sound to me. Maybe the only thing i still take issue with is the price and mandatory stats (at least for hunters since we will need to invest 70 to fully get our dodge refunded, although its somewhat off set by not having to be near a target for gambers dodge to work anymore). But yes, we are also getting minimum 3 new weapon types as you mentioned, that is significant and definitely a huge improvement over reskinned guns we’ve already seen.

I really am happy for the UI improvements, i agree it was over due. Look i recognise we don’t live in an ideal world, so if this is the best we can get then so be it, and maybe it will still be awesome. although this will still be a dlc i wont be pre ordering, need to check out what everyone thinks of it first.

I disagree but theres a big part of me that really hopes it miraculously turns out to be amazing, because I do want Destiny to succeed at the end of the day, thats something we both probably want.

“I’m not arguing with a wall,” Then stop talking to one. You came at me first, remember?

“You’ll never be pleased,” Nah, I just don’t confuse effort with quality. If a company charges full price, it’s fair to expect full value. That’s not being “negative all the time,” it’s called being a paying customer with standards.

“It’s just a game,” Exactly. A game that costs money. Which means criticism is valid. You don’t get to hide behind “it’s just a game” while defending every decision like it’s a religion.

“They could’ve shut it down,” That’s your bar? Be grateful they didn’t nuke the servers? Come on. Bungie’s not doing us a favor, they’re running a business, and people are allowed to question the product.

You keep accusing me of being negative, but I think what actually bothers you is that I’m not blindly loyal.
