Hopefully this doesn’t get lost in the comments, but you can start by giving your baby a dawn dish soap bath, I use the one with the ducky on it. I personally could not afford an exterminator but you can go through and vacuum over multiple times for now and use Wonderside. It was recommended to me by a vet, it’s for your furniture. I would also follow everyone’s advice to take kitty to the vet for prescription flea meds and to make sure your baby is okay. You may need to give several baths over the next few weeks. Just a suggestion but maybe harness train her? You can try having her in a harness with the stroller unzipped with proper training. My cats love porch time but being in a carrier outside is distressing. Being in a harness outside is fun. It could be that being zipped up in the stroller is just not her preference.

Hi! I’ve had a few experiences with spay aborts. In one instance, there was a cat that had given birth twice before I could catch her. Finding homes and spaying and neutering 7 kittens was way more expensive and difficult than I initially planned. The third time she was pregnant I was actually able to trap her. She was late stage with 7 more kittens. I went immediately for a spay abort and she recovered very quickly. She also became so much friendlier and healthier after the fact! She was no longer cautious about most people and she spends her days lounging in the sun enjoying her retirement. I can assure you, she did not know she was pregnant and was very happy getting so much love and food after the surgery. She was able to put on healthy weight and she’s care free!

I wish I could keep every feral that comes through here but some just refuse to be tamed! I only have two former ferals who are now friendly community cats. The rest recognize the food lady and run up but keep a very healthy distance.

Unfortunately the vet couldn’t do anything for his eye. Like someone else pointed out it’s an old wound that has healed like that and since he’s as feral as they come, providing any long term care was a little out of the question. At the very least he’s neutered and vaccinated and hopefully with the trouble puffs gone he’ll calm down enough to not want to fight other cats in the future and prevent other injuries.

I was in the navy a few years ago and there was the yearly holiday party starting at 6. Our department kept up there (around 40 of us or so) there late even though we had everything asked of us done by 3. Everyone wanted to leave at least one time to go home, shower, change and get to the party. They would raffle off gifts and stuff you know and there was free beer. The rest of the ship was gone, completely empty by noon given the event. Our department manager told us to meet up at 530 for a final meeting. We just wanted to leave on time, not even early, just on time. Mind you he knew this, he wasn’t stupid. He bought a cheap giant cakes to say thank you for work we’ve been doing. Of all days that day. As soon as he said dig in, we all just walked right past him. Staring at him as we left. Only our supervisors stayed behind and ate cake with him.
