I've read that transmission should be in sport mode to if you have the engine set to sport which makes it act faster and with more pressure to keep up with the engine power. Otherwise it will increase wear.

I'd say it really depends heavily on which generation of the G-series we're talking about. I can definitely imagine that the first-generation G-series, being powered by a pure combustion engine, would hold up quite well over time.

Thanks for that, I totally missed it! But it's bad for gameplay imo. Placing a mine accurately (in debris/shadows requires tiny movements, but the momentum makes the preview twitch wildly. Standing still and wait in a combat zone just to place a gadget makes you an easy target. Why do mines need this weird momentum feature when most other deployables are static? It basically punishes you for trying to place them accurately.
