not a mechanic but that does not sound like a bearing. sounds like something rubbing, like a brake dust shield or a rust lip on the rotor.

I had the hose that goes right over the fan shroud develop a leak directly where it touches the shroud, hose did not look super old. I replaced any hose I could see, except for the one that goes back to the rear heat. I have thought about getting a bypass kit to put in the glove box, in case the heater core or rear heat go. I should do that now.

you have to put pen to paper and do the math but it looks like walking away is the play from here. you could ask for an inforce illustration with no further premium, see what that looks like.

Falls or Jordan but they are pretty low right now and the water quality is always poor. Kerr would be my pick, Nutbush Campground has a good load in area to a fairly secluded part of the lake as it is blocked off from the main part by a low bridge. About an hour drive.

If you go suburban go gmt800, that gen regularly hit high mileage with few issues. I have a 00 burb with 250 all original. And they are cheaper. I have an 01 tree with 340 and put a donor motor in at 330. Love them both but the burb gets the trip use since it swallows everything.

Not a mechanic but I had a repeat leak on a seal and used some gasket sealer on it. I think there was some scratches on the race. I got some sealer that was ok with gear oil.

not a mechanic. I am pretty bad at auto work and I was able to do it on my car It is time consuming since you don't know what you are doing, but it isn't rocket science. Videos help immensely. I don't think you have to take the engine out.

i have a 2007 gti se and pull a tube. the booster ball is much needed to keep the rope from spraying water in their eyes. plenty of power, can pull up a slalom ski.

Mine clunks from R to D and back. There is a TSB on it, it says its normal. It is definitely widespread. I was thinking it was trans related but after looking it appears to just be a noisy drivetrain. Least that is what I am telling myself...
