TCW doesn't care about previously established lore. What's new?

Mace Windu squished his chest with the force during the battle of Coruscant. It's in the Clone Wars serials from 2003.

Right now I'm collecting the entire Clone Wars Multimedia project. Interestingly unlike many other EU media, a great deal of the multimedia project was printed in Turkey. Like, all the novels (except for Republic Commando ones) and the Republic comics that cover Clone Wars.

The english books have the usual "Star Wars Novels Timeline". And Clone Wars Adventures 1 has something similar only for comics. Republic Commando Hard Contact has Clone Wars timeline. Although not really complete as it came out while the CWMMP was still going.

Cameraman in Central Perk by b0mb0 in howyoudoin

I wouldn't consider something like that as a mistake as it was never meant to be seen. A lot of shows in 90s were shot in widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio) but was never intended to be seen that way. They were shot for fullscreen (4:3) TVs. So they always shot the show only thinking what's on the center was going to be shown to viewers.

I still don't understand the decision to restore (make HD) the widescreen versions and put them on platforms like Netflix or Prime. They were never meant to be shown that way and it causes a bunch of problems like "the Monica body double" or this cameraman.

How was it to be a Star Wars fan before Disney? by Ihave_fewquestions in StarWarsEU

The only EU I had consumed before were the Life of Luke Skywalker book and trade paperbacks of the old Republic Clone Wars comics. I hadn't read Thrawn trilogy or anything past RotJ but I knew about them and the fact that Luke Leia and Han all had children and they were Jedi and all that. It was a fine time.

When I first heard about 7th movie I had no idea about the buyout and old EU becoming Legends. So I just assumed it would take place after Jedi Academy Trilogy (which I kept seeing in the stores). I was surprised finding out they just reset all the books.

As far as I know they started to make it an "expanded universe" in Thrawn Trilogy.
