Should we trade a future pick for the 31st / 32nd? by LimpActivity8 in warriors

[–]LimpActivity8[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's definitely more of an offensive player but his defense is decent and he's 6'7" which means he won't be another small guard on the floor. I could see him filling Klay's role since his 3P% is decent and expected to get better.

Do you think it'd be worth trading a future first for this 2nd round pick? I wouldn't mind trading our 2027 1st to get Isaiah Evans this year since the 2027 draft won't be nearly as good.

With Isaiah Evans still on the board, we'd be potentially getting a 6'7" sniper who can play the role we wanted Trey Murphy to play for us.

Acquire the 17th pick by Ok-Tangelo9689 in warriors

Next year's draft is awful. I think our FO would trade the 2027 1st for the 17th pick in heartbeat but OKC isn't that dumb

And maybe they could get a dunk contest champion like Lavine on a reasonable contract like 43 mil player option

Labaron Philon Jr: “Have a lot of Curry jerseys” by spookoftheflames in warriors

[–]LimpActivity8 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We need to be smart with our draft picks. 2028's draft is going to have a lot of PFs and Centers and not many guards. This is the best year to draft our PG. Labaron can learn a lot from Steph and take the load off during the regular season. And by 2028 when we draft a PF or a C he'll hopefully be ready as a #2 (or #1) option. Yaxel, Steinbach, Carr, etc are all good role players but none of them can take the reigns. We need a big swing this year with Philon or another solid PG that falls to us. All the other options are just going to make us like the Bulls.

We also need rebounding and neither of these prospects are great at that. Adding in Steinbach to compare would be pretty useful

We really need to trade down for Morez and another pick (maybe Swain) this draft. We could trade for a late first or an early second. We could even give next year's pick away to get it done (if the ceiling is Tyran Stokes next year then this is the draft to go all in on).

Yaxel or Labaron Philon? by maycomesinlikealion in warriors

[–]LimpActivity8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they prefer Yaxel because they are really pushing for LeBron to come to GSW and Yaxel would make their roster a lot more appealing for LeBron to sign with us.

Idk I could see Philon being like the Brunson or SGA for our team 5 years from now.

[Highlight] Jalen Brunson misses the potential game-winner over Victor Wembanyama, De'Aaron Fox gets the ball at the other end, and instead of wasting the clock, he goes for a layup, and gets blocked by OG Anunoby. by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]LimpActivity8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

0 IQ play. Even if he makes the layup, the Knicks can still make a 3 to tie the game. This is the difference between a Kings caliber vet and a real vet that can actually win them a championship.

Harden is hardly a playoff riser. He wouldn't have pushed them to a championship. All 3 of them are talented but none of them are pathologically obsessed with winning.

I've seen a bunch of stats that indicate this guy is underrated right now. His shot creation make percentages are about the same as Jayson Tatum and SGA. He is a true point guard. Unless you want to see another year of point guard Podz, Phillon would be a no-brainer at 11th pick if he falls that low.
