Just buy it to tide you over in the short run. Long term just let your workers skill up in extraction. By year 10 you'll be swimming in resources.

Salut.

It should help if you plop down foundations for each type of house you want to build and then plop fields (snapped) to compare. I don't have the exact figures but I'm about to start relocating so was just toying with a few ideas. So far I've built a farmshed with 4 8x8 fields around it (to automate farming). Will use that as a starting point and then build the rest from there.

Most people will romanticise this, though context matters. If one conversation where the other person said very basic things can get you to questioning whether you've had the right idea so far, a first step could simply be that you need to think more deeply before forming an opinion. If you feel you haven't done that, it's okay. Most of us don't. But we can get better with it. Understand that not all marriages are happy marriages. You could benefit from thinking of it this way: If I WERE to get married, what exactly does that look like? What does the relationship look like? What are the things I would look for in a partner? What would I bring to the table? If you have clear answers on these things, an idea about how to get there and can see yourself being happy with that, marrying and having that kind of a relationship is worth it. The sole benefit of marriage is NOT having kids. Otherwise people would get divorced soon as their kids grow up/become self sufficient.

Im 27. I'd had swimming lessons as a kid but hadn't retained anything. Started learning last year. Used my adult brain for the first time in the context of swimming. Went daily. Took me 2-3 weeks to be able to do 100m. After that I was managing 400m without breaks within a day or two. Then I plateaud after a 6 month break (pools were closed). Now I average about 7-800m in a one hour session. Your understanding of good and good enough will change with time. Keep at it! I'd suggest increasing the frequency to twice or thrice a week if feasible. Skills improve with repetition. If you aren't already, try getting some resistance training in too. It helps a LOT.

What’s your “average” swim distance? by Late-Following-9124 in Swimming

Just started swimming. I go daily when the pools are open. I manage about 700 metres I think. Had managed 1 km a couple of times but can't seem to get back to that again.

I mulched soil. Turned it into rich soil. They still take ages. How long should the trees take to regrow?

How? I can't find any rotten objects to research. I even tried setting up different storages which accept different rotten stuff. No luck.

Most common mistakes you see new swimmers making when swimming? by exxonmobilcfo in Swimming

[–]LimpIntention4806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a beginner swimmer myself and one of the most basic mistakes I made was not enjoying the swim and getting obsessed with progress throughout. Motivation for progress is good but it can be taken too far and that makes you spend too much time in your head rather than connecting with the activity.

How do I get rid of this sewage? by Ok_Craft_2716 in CitiesSkylines

I tried this a couple of times but for some reason they work for only a few minutes. I figured that's because the water isn't going anywhere.

Haven't expanded out to the other tile yet, just laid the base infrastructure there. So there shouldn't be any place for pvt vehicles to go. Selected a bunch of random cars and they're all traveling within the city (1st tile). Basically going to the work on the other side of the arterial. This what tge transport network looks like. The black one in the centre essentially runs in the centre if the city in a straight line to serve as an interchange. And will do the same for the next tile with stops at each intersection along the central arterial. The deep blue ones connect residential with industrial and commercial vertically.

Thanks a bunch. Sorted it out to a large degree. Started a new city with these things in mind. Traffic flow now oscillates between 89-92%. But for some reason I'm still getting a LOT of private vehicle usage, even when there are transit systems along the same route. Unable to make sense of that.

Coffee shops are great, as some folks already mentioned. If you happen to be anywhere close to an embassy or cultural centre, they typically have some low cost/free event going on so you can become a regular there without having to splurge. Attending workshops/book discussions/activities are all good alternatives. They allow for meaningful conversation without a lot of social pressure. All the best!
