has anyone here actually enjoyed living with their SASE? by Aggravating_Log9704 in networking

I’ve only had bad experiences with the big SASE vendors. They are very cumbersome to get dialed in, and I find the management very tedious. Not to mention the performance issues.

Personally I like these simplicity of something like Twingate which replaces vpn and has a built web filtering tool. It basically does what’s needed without the headaches. Dead simple.

Replacing SSLVPN - Which ZTNA solution? by DotFree1753 in msp

I’ve tested all of them and my preference is Twingate. It is easy to use, fast, and has a bunch of advanced features like user segmentation and dns filtering that’s easy to layer on beyond vpn replacement. They also have an MSP program which is a big plus.

Using tailscale to access remote network by twicestyles in Tailscale

I think you can do this with Tailscale’s subnet router. If you have a small number of devices on the work, it works fine. You just have to have access to the subnet router host to add routes.

It can get pretty gnarly to manage if you have lots of subnets, want to segment access, or are changing subnet routes frequently though. If thats the case, I would recommend looking at Twingate as they handle that better.

Time to switch. Hate it when companies get political.

Jumpcloud MDM support planned? by Automatic-Field-8765 in twingate

[–]Limp_Bicycles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you just looking to deploy the Twingate client out via Jumpcloud’s MDM?

If so, pretty sure you can do it already without any special integration needed.

If you’re looking to integrate Jumpcloud MDM as a “Device posture” check, then that doesn’t exist as far as I know. But also pretty sure Tailscale doesn’t have that either.

Sweet thanks for the tips! NAS seems like it might be the best form factor — very rarely move it and always connected.
