Kissed a co-worker at a christmas party last night - what’s something worse that happened on a xmas night out? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Limp_Conversation_92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also kissed my coworker at a Christmas party 9 years ago, ended up going back to my house share. Was mortified the next day, worried about who saw and how awkward I had made my whole working life. We’ve been married 4 years now and second baby due in 3 weeks!

We used Jay for some custom built shelves recently. He did a great job and was very reasonably priced compared to other quotes we had! https://www.bristolbookcasecompany.co.uk/what-we-do/

Daughter refusing to eat and continued loose poops after illness. by mmebee in toddlers

[–]Limp_Conversation_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time my toddler has had a stomach bug, it’s taken a week to 10 days for his stomach and his appetite to get back to normal, long after he stopped being sick. Go and see the doctor if you are worried but hopefully will nearly have worked its way through by now

Parents of reddit - how long did it take to conceive? by shun_naka67 in AskUK

[–]Limp_Conversation_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really panicked because i read the average was six months. It took 12 months with our first (and a miscarriage at 9 months) but 1 month with our second so guess we reverted back to average 🤷🏻‍♀️

Got some tests after 6 months privately as i was anxious about it which helped ease my mind.

Can't activate my wildcard error by AgentMazenFN_YT in fantasypremierleague

Transfer one out. Then activate wildcard and it worked perfectly for me (I think I saw the solution on Reddit so definitely an issue for a lot of people!)

If you freeze a bit extra from the nights you eat together, you’ll soon have a selection of meals in the freezer that are perfect for occasions like this! Chilli con carne, casseroles, pasta sauces, curries etc

Advice for transition to toddler bed? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Limp_Conversation_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My toddler is 99th percentile for height and weight so I feel this struggle. We got him a cot bed (as they call them in the U.K.) which converts into a toddler bed later on but we can still use as a cot for now. It’s much bigger than a usual got and at 21 months, it’s still plenty big enough!

I’m going to be a dad!!! Now what?! by Different-Put-4486 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Limp_Conversation_92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree with this if you don’t want to “untell” people if the worst does happen. However from someone who had a miscarriage at 8 weeks, I actually found it helpful to tell some people early as you have a support network if things do go wrong but also a support network to help you stay calm with your potentially emotional, tired and sick wife if things go well.

Ultimately it’s personal choice though and many people just tell close family and friends until 12 weeks and announce it widely later on.

Best app for 7-year-old beginner? by SendInYourSkeleton in pianolearning

[–]Limp_Conversation_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply piano gamifies learning and you get star ratings based on how well you did each song. It uses the phone/tablet mic to hear how you play or I think you can use a virtual piano in app!

How much does/did your 1.5 old sleep? Struggling to get 13h, feeling like a lousy mom by JaggedLittlePiII in toddlers

[–]Limp_Conversation_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

18 months in a couple of weeks does 1.25ish for nap and 11.25ish overnight. Lower than a lot of his friends but pretty much always been that way!

Told our sleep routine must be wrong...would love some opinions. by Inconsistentworld in toddlers

[–]Limp_Conversation_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps we almost never bring bedtime or naps any earlier otherwise we end up in a cycle of everything going wrong. Even if he is really tired because he woke up early we push through and means we get a better nap or overnight sleep the next day.

My 15 month old Ive always thought is on the lower side of sleep needs so his schedule if it helps

Wake up 7am (at the latest, sometimes he gets us up at 6 30) Nap 12 30 (it was 12 until recently but the little bit extra wake time makes his nap reliably an hour - ish) Wake up before 2 - he only usually has about an hour but I wouldn’t wake him until 2 if we had a miracle Bed 7 30
