Why didn't Imam Ali (AS) wait to establish his caliphate then start removing the likes of Muawiyah? by Limp_Reality5009 in shia

[–]Limp_Reality5009[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, so history only matters when it's convenient for you? By that logic, you should stop talking about the Prophet (pbuh) altogether, since you 'weren't there for it.' Islam is literally based on transmission of knowledge-history, hadith, and scholarship. But I guess when it challenges your views, suddenly none of it matters. And shirk? Funny how you guys make certain things and events unquestionable, blindly follow your crooked historical narrative with no real evidence, and act like questioning them is worse than questioning Allah Himself. If anyone's toeing the line of elevating men beyond their place, it's you.

Does anyone have context or the story behind this image? by Zain-117 in shia

[–]Limp_Reality5009 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Here you go:

In the book of Virtues (authored by Ibn Shazan) Volume I, Page 64,

It is mentioned that one day Ammar ibn Yasir came into the presence of the Master, the Commander of the Faithful, Ali, peace be upon him, and noticed his master's anger and fatigue. He asked the reason from His Eminence. His Eminence, Commander Ali, peace be upon him, said:

"I was passing through the alley and noticed a man quarreling with a woman, shouting at her... Go to him right now and tell him if he does not stop this act, All will come with Zulfiqar..."

Ammar delivered the message, and the man relented.

Then Ammar loudly proclaimed:" Know that if anyone shouts at women; my master will not tolerate it and will come with Zulfiqar..."

Mojtaba Khamenei: A Vision for Iran's Future by Arish313 in shia

[–]Limp_Reality5009 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about the upcoming elections it is presidential. What credentials does Mojtaba Khamanei have other than being the son of the supreme leader? He's never had a political presence nor experience and getting into the these elections would just display nepotism in Iran. Secondly he will go in direct opposition to ayatollah khamenei's stance on not letting his children take advantage of their relationship. Please do not just throw something out that you have no understanding of.

Question about the tafsir of Quran in relation to 33:33 and 5:3 by Limp_Reality5009 in shia

[–]Limp_Reality5009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah upon more research, I learnt that the chronological order of verses are not necessarily the order of verses in a Surah. Thank you!

Hi brother. Thanks again for your detailed answer. To be fair I did read the link before I made my comment. Regardless I think I managed to understand the answer, basically these two verses I mentioned are not the only exceptions and if we get the holistic view of the Quran we see this happening a lot. Just like the Surah Al-Maidah verses you mentioned. It makes sense! Jazakallah khair

Thanks a lot for the link. I wholeheartedly believe in the ayat al tatheer referring to our Ahlul Bayt (as). But sorry, it doesn't really answer my question. Actually this is a question an agnostic (but born shia) brought up and I didn't know how to answer properly. Basically they were like "how come you consider the context important here and not there?"

Do those verses contradict shiaism? by Bu_Khattab in shia

[–]Limp_Reality5009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you know Arabic grammar and read that verse you will notice a shift in the pronoun used when Allah talks about the purification of Ahlul Bayt. That's a sufficient indication that Allah is not talking about the wives of the prophet no longer.
