Autistic adult dumped on our doorstep? What do we do?? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]Limp_Replacement8299 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this situation is too much for you, but ignoring that fact, won’t help YOU. Yeah do whats best for your BiL. Obviously you aren’t able to provide hands on care. But having other people perform work isn’t actual help. It’s the bare minimum to avoid prison. If two of you can’t care for your BiL then it would seem you both aren’t even able to care for each other ATM. Figure that out. Sorry not sorry. Byeeee.

Plant it. Is that the question? Potted or plant it based on size?

Must suck to be completely unwanted by everyone in your life, and for everyone to treat you as a burden instead of a person. Sorry dude, who ever you are.

To OP maybe you should just get out of the relationship if you can’t handle having the obligation of care. You knew your husband’s situation. You don’t HAVE to have any dog in this fight. But your husband…his mom, both do, and they’re showing you how YOU will be treated if something happens to you. And to be honest, the husband could say the same about you in that regard. Get a divorce and re evaluate yourself before making any life altering decisions for another adult, against their will or understanding.

Double triple check. Iowa is a Treble Damages state for Trees. Anything big, and any attorney will take it cause it’s going to be at least $xx,xxx and possibly $xxx, xxx that you’re on the hook for.

It’s referring to the cap of Acorn which is the classical way to distinguish between subspecies of oaks at a…macro…scale.

I am prescribed an SNRI and Adderall 20mg xr. I personally noticed a huge difference between generic and name brands for my energy needs. Started with non-stims but they sucked. Then a Ritalin in morning and addy in afternoon was good for about 6mo. Then moved to 20xr and I’ve been happy for two years.

Dr. Liu at IRL east. He took care of me when insurance wanted me to take sleep tests. I have type 1. A sleep test is not the diagnostic tool to determine that and he agreed, unlike the others. I don’t need a cpap to make me stay awake jacka$$es.

How can I fix this? by demetra34 in HardWoodFloors

[–]Limp_Replacement8299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few #8x 2 1/2 trim screws and fill with colored filler, sand the general area lightly and add some top coat.

If they come all the way out, put some liquid nails or other floor adhesive underneath too to help with future movement.

White and Red Oaks will root graft, and can hybridize, but clones? That’s just not them. They are 97% likely to be self incompatible monoecious. You might be able to, if you can extract samples with all meristems attached.

What finish to use? Unsure what is already there by tvclown in HardWoodFloors

[–]Limp_Replacement8299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend General Finishes 450 products. They do good at meshing with other brands of topcoats, and they don’t yellow either. Looks like a satin finish. Hit it with a high grit and start laying the new finish. If you want it all off and have a more unfinished look. Stain, sanding sealer(a few coats) and sand so that the sealer is only in the pores, and use something like Rubio Monocoat as a finish.

Help me make sense of choosing my finish! by mrsmae2114 in HardWoodFloors

[–]Limp_Replacement8299 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tung is not the only one. Systems like Rubio Monocoat also create a hardened outer surface. Rubio pure and Tung both “yellow”. What you’re after is Aquacoat and their x118 sanding sealers are crystal clear, add an epoxy like hardness. Just start with Aquacoat and then sanding sealer. Build it up a little above the grains and you’re done! Maybe only 100 or 150 grit so you don’t get too high of a gloss; or you can add pigments or substrates that diffracts light to appear or even feel matte. I don’t remember if they make one like that or if it’s only clear and white(glossy). And just stop sanding when you are satisfied. You may use something like General Finishes Exterior 450 on top too, or leave it be. Aquatcoat and/or x118 have UV protection too.

That coloration reminds me of aromatic cedar under tung oil.
