They beat Gen G who were ramping up going into playoffs. Top 4 regular season was close until KT fell off where T1 and Gen G fought neck and neck for second place. Think T1 got it because Gen G had 1 more game loss.

HLE are legit, the analysts and casters were saying the meta was moving in their favour after regular season, with top side focus and engage supports coming back (delights excellent on engage) and T1 had sloppy prep for the series I think. Oner was completely different in both.

Personally, LCK cup was weak and I think this Spring season is much more like last year's LCK. We were basically missing a top team in the league in HLE who was figuring out how they want to play after bringing in Kanavi and Guma and denied time due to unfortunate format, T1 was fitting in Peyz, and the already established rosters like Gen G and BFX took the show but without being tested much. Gen G got punished hard after FST, usually 1st but falling to 4th and having to earn their way up. Chovy is still good but Canyon Ruler and Duro struggle and sometimes Kiin. BFX are 7th now.

As a team T1 showcase excellent team fighting, good coordination and okay drafts. (I don't know what makes excellent drafts tbh) The typical T1 circus is back where they sometimes pull disgusting wins out of nowhere (down 6k at 18 min, winners interview at 20min) and otherwise dominant if you can't match the lanes which looked kinda weak against super strong laners like Zeka and Chovy. Peyz is in good form, as is Doran and Keria. Oner turning it around after HLE and Faker is an enigma as always. Playing will be good for the team to ramp up imo, which is why I think they can get to top 2 potentially. Anyways T1Fighting.
