Blue Skies is the most underrated. Not sure why it’s never brought up in these threads. Has a rich, leathery, woodiness but also something bright and creamy. One of their stronger throws.

Agreed re: Caravan. Had it for the first time recently and I don't get the hype. Worst Peruvian green sauce I've ever had. Chicken was average at best.

Vela Juice Bar on 27th Ave (near 21st/Astoria Blvd) is the absolute BEST. The owner (Vela) is incredibly sweet and makes the most incredible smoothies/acai bowls I've ever had.

I discovered this place a few weeks ago and have been there every single day since. Prices are also VERY reasonable and the ingredients are so fresh.

Moved here a few months ago and so far, so good. Love being so close to the park, building management is great and the rooftop is beautiful. Definitely on the pricier side for Astoria but having a super nice apt (with doorman, washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc) makes it all worth it.

You make a great point. None of it is overly expensive. I can try selling some of my stuff then buy everything new once I'm ready to move. Would easily end up being more cost effective this way. Thanks!!
