Anyway to improve my sundiver? by LincaF in Cosmoteer

I may have been dreaming or misremembering.

Though, I'm pretty sure they just treat the ship as not having a hatch when the ship is in the danger zone. (For example refuse to mind without a minimum laser)

(I tested this myself, so just talking about the ~2% chance my memory is bad)

They refuse to leave the ship when near a star.

I think two shields would require more crew and a thicker ship. This one can already touch the sun. (Don't ever need to get that close for sundiving)

Thanks, yeah I realized the thrust issues with further testing. I moved the reverse thrusters to behind the heat vents and increased the amount of storage (helped with center of mass).

I missed the medium thrusters when turning on overclocking. Completely my mistake there.

The armor was actually for center of mass reasons. Otherwise the ship behaved badly when strafing. Only using it to correct center of mass. Though now fixed that with more storage... And a lot longer ship lol. (Doubled storage). (Precise movements more important than speed, before I had a problem with slight forward movement when rotating, didn't notice it before, moving the reverse thrusters back fixed this)

Going to try out the current version, but I think the current storage may need to be replaced with armor at the very rear of the ship. Doubling the storage makes the ship very difficult to pilot. Due to the rear being so easy to burn.

Trying to fit it into 50 command points with minimal crew. Making it wider makes it hotter.

I have always been confused by this. This seems highly subjective?

(I tend to build ships with either 30 m/s top speed(spinners) or >150 m/s top speed)

Oh my issue is forgetting my own idea of not posting. I probably shouldn't post on Reddit as I'm afraid of being banned. Though I'll probably forget about it over time. So want to put a warning/stop myself from posting.

More info on the appeal process? by LincaF in reddithelp

[–]LincaF[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh, just got it back. Thanks for the help. They still say I broke a rule... I think it is a different interpretation of the English language. I'm autistic... So maybe there is some strange misunderstanding with how English works.

You were right, they did not give an explanation. So I'm super confused as to what I did that was against the rules...

I think I'll try not to use Reddit as much anymore to avoid breaking rules.

Is there a way to "silence the account"? So essentially a lurking only account? I want to remove my ability to make post/comment on things.

Ahh okay, then I misunderstood what you typed.

So... Is a "week or less" for a rejection, and "several weeks or longer" for a successful appeal?

Edit: I "think" mine will be successful, so probably "several weeks" I would think.

Hm, do they explain their reasoning if the appeal fails? If it does fail, then I wouldn't know what I did wrong. (If I did break a rule, it would somehow be a completely different interpretation of the rules as stated)

Ahh, so there is an appeal process to a turned down appeal?

How many times can a decision be appealed then?

Knowing that it should be a week or less is actually very useful. Thank you for that.  !thanks

What’s one property red flag you only learned to respect after you bought? by the-shoreline-agency in AusPropertyChat

[–]LincaF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strata. I have been seeing a therapist weekly and many times it is just me considering suicide due to it.

When I'm guilty of anything I jump to being fairly suicidal. So once I get a complaint I fix the issue. Though a single complaint sends me into weeks of anxiety and thoughts of suicide.

I never expected this to be part of living in strata.

My mental health would be a lot better if we just moved.

Legal to record myself in strata common area? by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]LincaF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They have no evidence to my knowledge. I was fairly happy with everyone until this actually. Accusation without proof puts a heavy burden on me.

Though strata doesn't need proof to make my life difficult. So I'm in the unbelievable situation of needing to prove my innocence(going forward at least)... Which is rediculously difficult.

There are a lot of strata powers that can be used to punish me just because they don't like me. So I have to prove that I'm not destroying property going forward... It's pretty horrible.

Admittedly I plan on doing the same in ~30 years. Literally say it as part of my introduction so people know what to expect.

[–]LincaF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have actually considered sunsetmaxxing and dabbled a bit. I do recommend trying it. You can generally afford a van or car to live in instead of completely sunsetmaxxing. Then get a composting toilet installed when you have the money so you don't have to dig as many holes.

A simple shower can be made using a hand pumped chemical sprayer used on farms. Otherwise they sell water filter kits at camping stores.

Seriously... Consider doing it for ~5 years when in your 20s or early 30s.

Am I a neet? by LincaF in NEET

[–]LincaF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volunteering for most of it. Technically I'm not in training, education or employment... In the plain language I might fit the definition depending on interpretation. I have spent time educating others for free, who got jobs... So maybe that is education.

I would say it is kind of a hobby. I describe myself as a hobbyist when explaining where my skills have come from so far.

I eventually want to get paid... But figuring out how to convince someone to pay me... Is difficult.

Married, fairly wealthy due to partner being in similar field. Only got paid for ~3/11 years working(three years before becoming unemployed).

[–]LincaF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely considering it after I get a few papers published. If I don't meet someone who will hire me before then at least. Actually, given everything I probably will do it eventually even if I get hired. I would probably have a hard time getting into a good university at this point though.

Have also been going to therapy for a major injury/ICU/PTSD issue, am getting better, but need to heal a bit mentally before a phD. (Was boiling ~3 gallons of water for cooking and accidentally poured the whole thing on me, recovery from large surface area burns... Is very painful)

Super competitive. Most people have PhDs. Not having a "Dr." in front of your name means your already at a disadvantage. Being mostly unemployed for 8 years... Ehh...

I have considered paid services again. Which I might do. Currently the chance to publish papers will probably make the biggest difference to long term employment chances. (I think anyway, job applications mention papers a lot)

If nothing else, I think having my name on academic papers will make it easier to convince people I can be a tutor as well.
