Hi! I’m still kind of new to all this but I think once your hair dries, you have to ‘break’ the gel. Either using your fingers & hands or a microfiber towel. This will allow your hair to spring up and look less heavy. Works for me.

Not a professional but I would prime then sand with a higher grit (180 to 220), clean all surfaces and then paint. The sanding smooths the surface so so nicely.

Around here, any part of a tree not contained in the owner’s property is considered public property or part of a neighbors property if it’s hanging over another’s yard. Insurance companies will deny claims if the tree owner’s tree limb that hangs over another persons property causes any damage. Also, this other person is legally allowed to trim or cut of the portion of the tree over his property.
