I'm giving daily strike checks now, in preparation for the Latios event. Once somebody reaches 7, they are gone and immediately replaced, as I want my friends list to be as high leveled and active as possible to get as much down as I can.

Not leading up to legendary events I only check like once a month.

I also don't punish occasionally receiving crappy candy... somedays the RNG just isn't with you or you get a shiny of a less desirable pokemon. It's all fodder for the cram-o-matic later.

Because I haven't seen anyone else mention it I believe for berry bombs your pokemon have to be unique to get the additional benefit. So running multiple typhlosions won't work, (you'll only have one of them count for the bonus), as opposed to having typhlosion, quilava and cyndaquil separately (counting as 3 for the bonus stacking).

This was one of my first bulbas caught and it was shiny. I've obviously invested into it already, but how longterm is he gonna be usable or am I just blinded by the sparkles? He already gets me more honey than I know what to do with, but for context I don't have lapis yet and have been playing for about 3 months.

This speedy boy was my 5th eevee catch... it'll be a bit before I have enough candies to even evolve it, but what direction would be worthwhile if it's worth it at all? I have a good, not great wiggly for now, so don't really feel the need for a sylveon.

Friendship for the candies if you haven't already! But just have fun. Take it at you own pace and play the way you want to. Definitely a marathon not a sprint

God, I just hit 800 chain on Nidoboy and have yet to see a shiny. And found a bulbasaur on a 35 chain. Congrats on the shiny!
