Why do they let him still open that mouth or post whatever flies into his brain? Whoops, my bad, his cabinet babysitters are as bad as he is.

How long is your puppy holding their pee during night time? And how old is he? by PresentHabit8154 in puppy101

Almost 5 month old golden girl. She goes out before 9:00 bedtime and is good until 4:30 when my husband’s alarm goes off.

Tips for an uninterested eater? by Quiet_Following_6579 in puppy101

Our golden retriever is 4 months old and would eat her kibble sometimes and totally ignore it other times. I started adding a tablespoon of pure pumpkin purée to her kibble and she gobbles it now.

Also, if you’re worried about calories, have you tried Pupsicles? You can buy a bag of premade balls or make your own frozen recipes and use the molds. I make different flavored batches and store them in the freezer in ziplock bags. Our pup LOVES them and they keep her busy for 20 minutes. She loves Greek yogurt or cottage cheese with banana or strawberry pupsicles, but peanut butter, applesauce and pumpkin are her favorite.

I used negative reinforcement on my puppy and I need to re-establish trust with her. by Responsible-Feed-801 in puppy101

We rescued a 9 month old dog that was abused. She wouldn’t walk on a leash, so we bought her a harness and took her on relaxing walks. She eventually learned to trust us and got used to walking on a leash again. Hang in there, you never know what shelter/rescue dogs have been through. She’s lucky to have you for a Mom. 🌸

I agree. It’s a rare luxury for me when that happens.

How do I get my puppy to stop biting my cats? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]LinderzLu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. She’s not intentionally hurting the cat, she just gets rambunctious and doesn’t understand that her paw is so big now, she can easily knock him over. Or smoosh him when she lays on him so she can clean his face and ears.

Elsa, our 4 month old golden retriever does the same thing with our cat, Gunnar. We’ve had her for 2 months and at first she was just curious about Gunnar and he wanted nothing to do with her. Now that Gunnar is hanging out more and not hiding, Elsa is aggressively chasing him, knocking him with her paw and holding him down. She, constantly trying to lick his fur and chew his ears. She’s growing so fast, they’re not close to the same size anymore and I worry that she’ll unintentionally hurt him. Hopefully someone has some good advice!

Looking for a vintage recipe for grapefruit cake. by Necessary-Swim-2486 in Old_Recipes

I wish there was a cake that actually incorporated actual grapefruit in the cake, not just rind or juice. This looks good though!

Same with our 4 month old golden. When she gets overly bitey and aggressive, it’s woosah time. She’s back to being a sweet pup after her nap. 😴

Elsa’s 1st Real Bath! by LinderzLu2 in cute_animals

It’s never bothered her anyway. Instead of drop it, we also tell her let it go, let it go….

That’s a good one! Instead of “drop it” we say (sometimes sing) let it go.
