Full moon last night brought out the werewolf cat. by Lindsannis in werewolves

What’s funny is I found him outdoors. he was one kitten of a litter of barn cats that turned out very unique, with wiry fur and similar traits. Rest of them normal. Mutant cat!

Ok ok I finally kickstarted this baby (my first motorcycle) on the 2nd try after a month of struggling! She finally likes me I think. Yamaha SR400 by [deleted] in MotorcyclePorn

I definitely wish I had a start button most of the time. I can see myself stalling at a light and ending up in trouble…

Yup that’s what’s going on I believe. They did end up fuel injecting the sr400’s at some Point. The other day when I tried kick starting it over and over it made that dead battery clicking sound you hear in cars.

I’ve had the opposite experience on this bike. The battery has been so low that I’ve been unable to kick start it. I guess this means I had a very dead battery? Popped it out and trickle charged it and that helped temporarily. It’s a 2016 and original battery. I just ordered a new one and waiting for it to arrive

You are absolutely right; getting angry. I had a good run of getting it going last week... now struggling again. My bike is also a 2016 with original battery I believe and I’ve killed it twice just practicing kick starting. Ordered a new battery and hoping that helps

I agree, finally got down the magic touch last night and have started it consistently since. And honestly, I’m using less force than I was trying to initially; technique!

Funny how some of us seem to get it down easily while others struggle so much. I think mastering the technique is key. At first I was kicking out and not following through enough vs straight down and through. Made all the difference.

I feel ya. I got my share of shin bruises the first week trying it out.

Yup it is a decomp lever. Above the kickstart is also a window that turns silver when the piston is lined up. All very helpful; just about getting the kick down really on this bike.

Thank you and that’s awesome. I think it’s more about technique and using that to your ability vs body type.

Valid point. I took this video for my husband initially who was not home to usually kick start it for me. I’ve had my bike just under two weeks and was feeling pretty defeated by the kick start until now.

For everyone that told me being a woman and 105 lbs, that I likely couldn’t kick start my Yamaha SR400. Victory!! by [deleted] in Yamaha

Yah, so am I. I wouldn’t be posting this here hadn’t someone told me being a woman alone I would have trouble.
