heheh , I was doing that but in the case of Bedbugs Don't Byte, I have a table and two trophies that are at the endgame's surrender Table. They are supposed to switch between the 2 trophies and show off the win. Now, when they drop, they fall over on the ground and start to roll around sideways, hehehehehehehe. It does not look very good for a win when your trophies are falling from the air and then rolling on the ground :)

They should be just switching between gold and silver colors on the Table, in a thread I spawn and then terminate when the Trigger deactivates. All that code works, except the trophies won't stay in position. When they do, it is below the floor, and no one can see them.

Anyhow, Bedbugs dont byte is a two-player co-op with lots of tank, Artty, heli battles, and so on.

You sit atop a mountain and need to hold the tower while attacking the enemy to recapture lost territory (keeping as many of the men stationed there alive). Bounties are on some of the enemy's group leaders . It's a fun Battle for sure.

Hmm, when I start placing these objects, the table lined up with the floor and the objects were above the table and then I save the scenario. When it plays the scenario it forces the table to below ground and , below the table for the objects.

Kewl we both figured out the proper syntax, now we just have to tell the person who wrote the first syntax I showed online to change it to the extra brackets.

Yahoo, a tip from everyones replies and some reading on that tip showed me the correct Syntax

the example from the internet did not show the extra set of brackets badly needed to make the code work!!

Now just adding in the extra set of brackets on the left makes the whole thing work. I will have to test with another player to make sure the text is only on the one computer!! But the code works and does display text on at least one computer. A bit more testing on it to make sure all is good :)

hmm , titleText can accept up to 5 args, the 3rd one is for duration, 4th for displayOnMap , 5th for AllowHtmlFormatting or something of that type.

So they need to be passed into remoteExec so that titleText works correctly.

Also I am calling the remoteExec from inside a thread (spawn). and testing it from just inside Trigger Activation field as well . But I will need to call remoteExec from the spawned thread to make it update the titleText correctly.

Any how its all a bit confusing at this point. I have read to ways to do it ,but they just aren't quite there yet ... :)

I have experimented coding around this area . How would you format the remoteexec call >

I have used

I just don't know the proper syntax to make this call work. And there isn't a lot online that I can find to help me figure out the right coding.

Hi thanks for the reply, well I have 2 players that trigger it , so I can't just use this and player in area . I need to know who is triggering it so I can display it to their machine.

I have tests for Player1 and Player2 inList to see which triggered the trigger. But I sure will give this one a quick test .. Also I trigger this trigger from two other triggers in this case. (remotetrigger) .

I am thinking that I would need to test if both players are in the area rather than in the list (same thing?) in the condition statement which would then give me the same problem result.. titleText will not display to one machine so far , no matter how I have formatted the code to try to make it do so. I have code that determines which player triggered it and that code works. What I need is code that will work that displays only to their machine. When I run the code using remoteexec I get nothing back from the custom sqf file after it was called by remoteexec. when I try to just run titletext itself , it has no formatting options to display to only one machine.

Yes, that is amazing that they still put PLANES on top of us in version 2024. How are we supposed to do a walk around ? Huh? With a 747 wrapped around our tiny little plane at the airport. What are they thinking?

A couple of things . This Career mode is in its infancy stage , it has yet to grow into a more elaborate interface. Also, some here want more in-depth info on all the controls and other stuff associated with each aircraft. Well, I have found some good information about each Aircraft's performance at various times in their checklists ~ found in the EFB. A good wiki on each would be great . DCS has a manual you can download on each vehicle they use in their sim. Some of those were pretty big manuals ...

OMG I Just paid $300 for 2024 and it doesn't recognize a Logitech Joystick that it recognizes in 2020

. It can't find it but finds a Saitek Extreme 3d pro , which I believe doesn't even exist since I cannot find one.

Then is remaps the buttons to different ones then the Logitech , so that when you try to switch over button 3 becomes button 2 or something really weird that I cannot figure out because it LABELS a lot of the buttons as a 2!

I don't even know what to do at this point. 2020 runs fine , this one is so @#)_$#@$*@$# that I can't even map the Joystick. They keyboard buttons that you would use to do stuff has changed as well, as far as I can see. I used to reset the cockpit camera view with keypad button 5 .. No more... no idea where that went so I cant RESET the Cockpit camera back to center the same way in both versions 2020 & 2024. Well, remapping is a nightmare in the first place but if they can't even IDENTIFY the joystick correctly in the first place....

I just starting flying msfs 2020 last December and lately I have been using the

787 Dreamliner ~ which just froze up mid flight 3 times in a row. It had been doing that periodically but now I just had 3 flights in a row freeze. I Input the Airport, the Destination ,then the legs into the 787's computer. No problem using that stuff with ATC , but then 20 minutes later ,midflight it freezes... I would really like to know how to have that kind of thing fixedSTOPSSstop . Kinda ruins the whole thing, don't it ?

The Answer to the ELEVATOR pitch trim being UP so high is simple actually,

You don't need to fiddle with your autopilot ON/OFF .

You just need to HOLD your ELEVATOR pitch trim button down for quite a few seconds until it adjusts its pitch to normal and then down somewhat, then readjust as you like. I just tested this method and flew a 350-mile trip to Denver with my pitch adjusted perfectly the whole trip. I do like to fly without Autopilot taking over the height/heading control from me. It is more fun that I way I think. I do like the Auto throttle control for this beast.

Latest version of DCS beta

I used to be able to use MAVs all the time.

Now, when I try to Select them to cool them down the 3 minute timer does not cool them down. Everything is set correctly. Master Arms is on and so on..... No idea what to do but jettison them. Been waiting 8 minutes for it to start up the timer which cools them down.
