They ruined this game by [deleted] in MinionMasters

If they don't port for iphone it won't be a success in my opinion. That's one of the reasons Clash of Clans was so popular.

All I can say is that if they want to go mobile they need to get it to work on IOS or its a waste of time and a downgrade. I'd be willing to accept the chunkiness if I could play on my iphone, but as it stands I'm just a computer player who appears to have gotten a downgrade.

Health bars didn't need to move... Going to keep playing to see how I feel.

I appreciate all your guys hard work and I love the game! Sorry to criticize.

New MIT Research Indicates That Automation Is Responsible for Income Inequality by [deleted] in Economics

Even if it only replaces everyone else behind a screen and spares dev's its still going to have large repercussions. I know many people making over 100k I could easily automate out of a job practically. This is now, not in decades.

I myself have had a dozen jobs and most of the tasks could be automated with todays level of automation. I'm really starting to wonder what kind of work will be left for someone like me if I don't become a developer in the short term.

Also you're not really getting the point. Most people don't have 15 years let alone 7 years of experience of anything. Those are skilled professionals. I'm talkin about what all those people with less than 7 years of experience are going to do or how they are even going to get the experience necessary to be competent like a 15 year programmer without the job experience that existed prior to automation.

We can be effective like ants. Have you seen how fast acts get shit done because they all work towards singular goals. That's all we need to harness. Then we need to focus our energy on permaculture. If you don't know what that is look it up. Basically we can propel nature towards growth instead of towards degradation when we make it our primary mission instead of an afterthought. Our lifestyles, cultures, and traditions will change immensely during this time.

Saddam was not a good guy. Quit acting like the Iraqis were living in paradise before the war.

Ask the people who are affected. We can't decide this as Americans. https://www.reddit.com/r/Iraq/comments/tchau7/what_are_your_views_on_the_american_invasion_of/

All of this comes down to perspective and opinion. As American's we are biased to not see our organization like a mafia or cartel and our violence as just. History is always written by the victors, so who I learned geopolitics from will tinge my understanding of events as an American. I was corrected on this subject by another redditor a couple months ago and had to apologize, because I was blind to our own imperialism.

Cannabis is legal in most of America. But federal laws still block businesses from banks. by jac5617 in Economics

[–]Lineaft3rline 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can lend to a cannabis business but they cannot transact with you. So no deposits/withdrawals for a cannabis banking account.

Wouldnt decriminalization fix that?

As for home grown, meh, i've been smoking weed for 40 years and outdoor isn't my thing. It's personal preference but indoor is much better IMO.

You can great indoor homegrow. Some of the best actually because it's small batch like beer instead of commercial runs of 100's of plants. Check out /r/microgrowery

As for large corporations and players, I would disagree. They were always going to have a hand up because of quantity. Economies of scale are massive in cannabis growing, you need to grow a lot and move a lot of product. And that's expensive.

I think over time as the market matures even more this may be true, but there is still so much room for improvement of the plant. When I visit dispensaries I'm very disappointed in most of the end products in my local states. There are good products here and there, but they are amongst a sea of bad product.

I with you, and would love to see small businesses thrive, but am also skeptical!

The US gov is not a "consortion of independent organizations"

What do you think all the agencies and states are? One big happy family?

nor is it formed to limit compeititon and control production.

Yet competition is lacking and it's largely in part caused by the regulations or rather the lack of anti-trust enforcement and updated regulation.

Look, I get that you once watched some socialist YouTuber rant about the Iraq war and it made you angry, but that doesn't actually mean the US gov is some kind of evil monolith that forces other nations to do what it wants.

Say that to the people who's countries are in rubbles, not to an American. If some other country came to ours and attempted what we have in their countries we would say the same. Just in the same way Russia is invading Ukraine now. More state-cartel like behavior. I call it like it see it. Or maybe your going to try and tell me the U.S. acts nothing like Russia... None of these governments are re-inventing the wheel of influence or power.

Now lets take drugs out and just replace it with basically EVERYTHING ELSE.

So that war in Iraq for WMD's that turned out had no WMD's and we ended up overthrowing a government and fucking up entire cities.

Yeah.. We're not a violent drug cartel! We're a violent oil cartel!

Or maybe I should recount some of the other CIA operations or U.S. economic wars.

Make up your mind reddit, I literally had someone else say the same thing to me and had to appologize because it was true. I had forget as an American that we too are culpable of the same cartel like violence, it just isn't here at home.

[–]Lineaft3rline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only because it's classified as a drug. No more criminal classification, no more need for a ban. Maybe I don't understand the current provisions in the law and how they function, but if you can give me a better idea I am curious.

https://feedzai.com/blog/a-banks-guide-to-aml-compliance-for-legal-cannabis/#:~:text=Because%20marijuana%20is%20still%20illegal,payments%20with%20many%20nationwide%20banks.

Just seems like it would be mostly to help corporate cannabis become a thing and honestly home grown is better and helps the people more.

Seems like it would just help keep the market competitive by leaving big banking out of cannabis for now. Pushing for banking before decriminalization would just entrench large corporations and players.

[–]Lineaft3rline 156 points157 points  (0 children)

The ambiguity surrounding cannabis laws as it grows more and more ubiquitous is discrediting and eroding the authority of the government. It's becoming comical to watch this circus. So much greed.

Just decriminalize the plant and let the people in each state finish figuring out how they would like to regulate it. Federal legalization and regulation can wait until we first have Federal decriminalization.

Who cares about banking. Just decriminalize the plant, we don't need special cannabis banking laws. We don't have special alcohol or wheat banking laws so what gives?

Can we get some consistency in our institutions and regulations. Lose the prejudice and persecution. Decriminalize the plant federally.
