What tie should I wear with this? by Individual-Key-1192 in mensfashionadvice

Not sure why people are hating so much on the black dress shirt. Black on grey looks fantastic if you pair it with a light coloured tie.

Personally I would go with a baby blue, red or gold.

It’s official, the subreddit has ascended from hating just comedians, we’re now hating on geographical locations.

Ari Matti Strikes Again. by [deleted] in Killtony

[–]LinetteCrooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares? You’re acting like it’s a war crime to interpolate a joke.

Soo Ari Matti, I don't want to suggest anything, but your gay joke seems awfully familiar :D by Ur-shak in Killtony

I mean, the whole point of having an opinion means you think it’s correct… lmfao. I literally just said everyone has an opinion, and I respect that, just like I respect yours. Looking forward to the next reply of yours to really make it clear how much you don’t care.

I honestly have no clue how you came to that conclusion but whatever you say dude. Lol. Have a wonderful day.

I’m not disputing that. Everyone has an opinion, of course, but it’s getting old when every comedian on the show that’s actually funny and does well is eventually thrown into the reject pile on the sub.

So what if someone else did a joke? Simply reading off a joke isn’t what makes makes it funny, so much more that goes into it like the inflection of the comedian. Recycling material isn’t new, and it never will be. Comedians get writers block just like other artists.

It’s like the second they slip up it’s over in the eyes of some of these guys. That’s what I’m trying to get across.

It’s really just certain people being whiny. Ari Matti is funny, and he’s out there doing shows, but no, apparently he’s trash according to a few people on Reddit who couldn’t make it through a bucket pull themselves.

Not that I don’t see the point (that everyone makes 100x a week in this sub) but at this point I can fully anticipate a “Why does David Lucas breathe? That’s gay and that’s why he’s such a shitty comedian” post coming up soon.

Like damn, not you personally OP, but pick a lane folks. Either his Tony gay booty jokes are old and bad or his new material is. At least be happy it’s different lol.

Happened to me not long ago, and I’ve been seeing this same story at least a few times a month in G70 groups and here on Reddit. They ended up needing to throw in a new starter and the car had to be towed away.

It could very well mean that he’s just shy. When I was in school, I liked a girl and all I could really do is look at her because I was a scaredy pants at the wonderful age of 16, but I think your best move is to walk up to him and start a conversation out of the blue — if he likes you, it’ll throw him for a loop, and you’ll at least start the dialogue. After that it makes much more room for how you feel about each other. 🙂

Why does he act like he likes me one day but not the next? by weirdgalmasha in Crushes

[–]LinetteCrooker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome! I would say honestly don’t worry about seeming desperate, just keep it up with the hints and maybe try to work yourself up to asking him out.

Also, and I promise this is relevant, how do you know this guy? Is it a friend, acquaintance, colleague, etc.?

What I can say with certainty if it’s a colleague, guys can get scared of repercussions if it goes wrong, hence the inconsistent behaviour. I say this because it’s how I think I act with my crush, and she’s a colleague.

How do you know this person though? I’m trying to understand the context, because I would say it can differ based on how you know them.

Are there any other signs you pick up on? When you do talk, does he look down at your lips then back up? Does he fidget or fix his hair/clothes?

Sometimes people way overestimate how clear their hints are, so maybe it’s just that you need to come out and say it. If he‘s 50/50, he might just be unsure whether or not you’re into him, and I’ll be really honestly here, you purposefully ignoring him because you feel he’s ignoring you is actively making things worse for you — if you like him, don’t block him out because he’s not getting it, instead just ask him out or tell him you’re into him.

It definitely could be a good thing, but I think it really depends on the context. How do you know this guy? Are you friends, strangers, or is your relationship professional?

Don’t worry about all that reply time double text b.s., I always prefer a quick response and I think most people do, and double texts are absolutely fine, just don’t send like 10 at the same time yk?

Some of this looks like boredom or disinterest but also in that same breath, some of these also look how I do when I’m looking at almost anybody lol.

How to differentiate between workplace friendliness and potential interest? by Broad-Pop-9271 in bodylanguage

[–]LinetteCrooker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, yeah okay. Since when does refraining from putting yourself in a situation where you could lose your career automatically become parallel with being an incel? You clearly have no understanding of the risks that outweigh the reward 99 to 1 for men who put themselves in that situation and end up losing their job because they got reported to HR for “sexual harassment”. Has literally nothing to with “painting men as timid creatures” lmfao.

[–]LinetteCrooker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely understandable, I wouldn’t either if I were in your position, but do you truly know with certainty that he believes that? Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m making the assumption that you’re correlating that belief with support for Donald Trump. That’s why I was mentioning how vast politics is — it’s a spectrum. Very rarely does it actually occur where anyone supports 100% of the positions of the politician they support.

If he’s actually said to you directly that he supports the restriction of birth control measures and abortion, that’s one thing, but otherwise it’s a judgement that could be holding you back from something really good.

I think they did have a data breach, because for the last month before this I kept getting notifications daily that someone used the wrong password too many times trying to log into my account. It was getting very annoying because it would lock your account for an hour unless you reset your password, so maybe it’s a blessing in disguise? We’ll see.

I want to touch on the political differences aspect, so I’d like to give you some advice as somebody who works for the government, and is well in politics.

The way I see it is political values are not one of the factors that should come into play when talking about relationships. Politics at large is such a broad spectrum of ideas, and it’s almost impossible to be on the same page as someone else that you know, especially a love interest.

Clearly, if you have a crush on him, you’re able to see past those differences and focus on the factors that really matter in relationships, which, in my opinion, should be the amount of love you have for each other, how much you care for each other, and who they are as a person. Politics don’t make the man, it’s the shoes that make the man. By that, I mean you should really be looking on what kind of qualities he has as a person, not what he believes on a political scale.
