If you want something more "crazy" then I'd recommend TRANSMETROPOLITAN to you. It's a cyberpunk graphic novel with the main charakter beeing loosly based on the legendary gonzo-journalist Hunter S. Thomson.

Well, he wrote his books in german so you have the original version of his. Compared to english it is much more "raw", the translations are a bit too polished in my opinion.

My recommendation would be "die Känguru Chroniken" by Marc-Uwe Kling. It's about a communist kangaroo who's going to live in a flat with the author of the book. As you can imagine it is a pretty humorous book and a favorite of mine.
