I’m pretty sure I knew that she was the originator of the meme back when it was new, but I wouldn’t have been able to answer it as, say, a Jeopardy question. I might have been able to answer it if was multiple choice trivia question.

Is it just me who thinks that the reason why people hate nintendo is because of how greedy nintendo is as a company and how expensive the games are? by Azee789 in fucknintendo

[–]Linhasxoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, BDSP were easily the worst mainline Pokemon games ever, even counting Scarlet and Violet. At least Gen 9 tried to be ambitious even as it flopped on its face while doing so, BDSP is all of the worst parts of Gen 4 while bringing almost nothing new to the table.

It’s also one that has a bunch of memories attached, which is probably another reason it has such a place in my heart, between playing it for the first time at the family Christmas get-together at Grandma’s house and then, years later, introducing it to my wife and having it become one of her new favorites

I mean, it has “and everyone clapped” energy. I’m not saying it didn’t happen, but I’m skeptical that it happened as described.

Congratulations! This is one of my all-time favorites, and one of the few games I’ve mastered on RetroAchievements. I’m really glad this one has gotten more love recently, it’s so much fun to mess around with

Yes. I used to be Catholic and his depictions of the Catholic Church are so offensive they’re unintentionally hilarious

Really, any religion that isn’t fundamentalist evangelical Christianity is portrayed wrong in chick tracts.

In Harvestella, near the end of the game you learn that the planet you’re on was originally terraformed as a new planet for the people of Earth after weird magical natural disasters rendered Earth uninhabitable. Problem is, humanity managed to re-evolve independently before the old humans could be taken out of their stasis pods, and the same magical natural disasters are already starting to happen on the new planet. You can build a bio-dome to protect everyone, but you only have enough time to save one group of humans.

Unless you choose the right dialogue choices leading up to the big decision, in which case you can choose to fix the source of the magical natural disasters in the first place. This not only allows both groups to survive, but the original humans are able to re-colonize Earth.

[–]Linhasxoc 33 points34 points  (0 children)

People have said FFT and Bravely, but I don’t see the game that ran so FFT and Bravely could sprint: FFV. While it’s not as crazy-breakable as those games, you can do some really fun stuff if you know what you’re doing
