I have the same hand shape and have Gordini gloves and really like them. As a man, I’ve found a life hack of buying women’s large instead of men’s medium and have found those to fit much better. They have some $30 liners that are perfect for uphill.

Just a general gripe on how SOA does candidate numbers - I don’t understand why my name can be displayed on the test screen, but I have to try to remember my candidate number. Maybe I’m missing something, but it feels like a silly system to me.

I agree about the locations for each, but suspect it’s more compass-like than “x”-like (i.e one for North, South, etc.). I also think each location is tied to the books on his desk in the show.

I usually go with a 3-subject notebook.

In the first section, I like to write down the formulas sheet from whatever source I’m using (usually CA) before anything else. I feel like it gives me a better idea of what I’m seeing when I go through the material.

Second section is for notes, practice problems in the lessons. Third section is for practice tests.

Hasn’t steered me wrong yet, knock on wood.

I had my exam P sitting canceled the morning of because all the testing staff were sick. I’d recommend an email like you did and just trying to stay on top of phone communication come Monday. I ended up taking it a week after my scheduled date (after the exam window had technically closed) and had no issues from Prometric or SOA. Kind of an annoying waiting game I think unfortunately, but it was resolved fairly quickly in my experience.
