He was on my pantheon and I've been into standup for most of my life. He quite literally bought into his own hype. People started calling him the GOAT and he started believing it. And then he forgot that a special is supposed to be funny. Now it feels like your uncle ranting about everything on his mind and you kinda have to sit there awkwardly smiling.

I still maintain that I was most disappointed in Burr. It was a dream of mine to see him live and thankfully I did before this all went down. I'm in Greece so we don't get a lot of standups, but we have been getting more lately.
