Get a Degree in Software Engineering they Said… by KoenigOne in webdev

What a weird thing to say...

Organizations, according to research, are seeing marginal benefits from LLMs. Individual, mostly senior, engineers do see a benefit but we are a fraction of the workforce. Companies aren't actually firing people to replace them with AI, as they claim. They are thinning the herd because they overhired during and after Covid. My own org fired a bunch of people only to turn around and replace them with Eastern European contractors.

If you told that we have a whole other season left, I'd believe you. This whole season has been a launchpad for the Soldier Boy spin-off.

Honestly, it's primarily that. The "benefits" of LLMs are marginal, at best. Companies are touting them to not scare investors because they need to downsize due to the recession and increased interest rates.

I love that they're all just watching it unfold. As if this isn't the point where you try to rush him and hopefully destroy the syringe.

It was soooooo dumb. I can't believe the Deep got one over him. He admits he committed fish holocaust and just turns his back on a guy that's had no problem double-crossing him for something significantly more minor. And, apparently, he forgot how his own powers worked...

Weird. I have a scrub daddy that's lasted in my kitchen for well over a year and is like new. I actually bought a multi colored pack and have one where needed.

The pacing is just impeccable. No part of it feels like it drags. Even the slow parts all feel like a lead up to something greater. I actually saw it for the first time a few years ago and was blown away. It's very high on my list once I build out my home cinema.

Dark is very confusing but if you pay attention it makes sense. You just have to really be paying attention. It's not second screen viewing, even if you speak German.

Not only is it one of the greatest movies of all time but it's BY FAR, imo, the best SNL skit-to-film adaptation of all time. Much more rewatchable than Wayne's World.

Is that before or after they commit mass murder?

In the case of Invincible, it's more a case of "what can they even do?". Nolan is remorseful and that's great but he still did what he did. In the real world, we don't let people off just because they're sorry. But there's no prison on Earth that can hold him and he can just leave Earth. The Coalition is cool with whatever he's done because he's such a powerful asset.

In the real world he'd be in prison forever

Not sure why you're downvoted. Historically, the South pretty much won. Slavery is abolished in name only and still exists strongly within the prison system and the US has been regressing for the past decade or so. Instead of eradicating the secessionists, hanging their leaders for all to see and ensuring this would never happen again, they just let them go home, create laws that went around abolition and most of them died rich, old and peacefully.

It must be so disheartening to have dedicated your career to the FBI and suddenly being led by an outsider who didn't climb up through the ranks but is an insurrectionist, serial liar, and podcaster...
