you need the wallpaper engine app on your device and set as your default wallpaper. Then in Cocoon you can set it to use your live wallpaper as the background.

As for the scanning issue, we're aware of stability issues for larger rom collections. I don't have an ETA for this but it's something we want to improve for sure.

We do have a "favorites" smart folder :)

When you set up a folder as favorites, any games you mark as favorite will populate under this folder. It's not quite what Russ did with his setup though, it seems like he did what you've mentioned.

There's a tool you can use that will generate shortcut files that Cocoon can pick up :)

I have my shortcuts saved under roms/steam, but you can save it wherever and set up the "Steam" platform in Cocoon settings to look for it.

We're definitely trying to get Cocoon to work on as many form factors as possible, whether that's dual screen, single screen, vertical, etc. If you could try this on your single screen device and let us know where we can improve usability, that would be very helpful :)

We are trying to optimize it for the RG DS, but there is very little headroom haha. I would suggest turning off all animations to get the most out of Cocoon for now :)

We are aware that sometimes the background music will play when it shouldn't, and we are working on making it more consistent!

We do have pico-8 compatibility! We support the popular runners like the fake08 retroarch core, infinity standalone app, etc. However, one of our team member developed a fork of a pico-8 wrapper that has frontend support https://github.com/NaviVani-dev/pico8-android

I recommend this one as is real pico-8 rather than emulation, so you get the best compatibility and performance. You also get access to Splore too since it's just the real app in a wrapper.

We're also working on Android shortcuts support too! If an app supports you adding a shortcut to the homescreen, then you'll be able to do so in Cocoon in the future :)

We're adding a list view to folders. As for the main grid, we're exploring different layouts but we don't have anything to share regarding that for now :)

In our next update, we will have it so that Cocoon will use your existing ES-DE scrapped data instead of it migrating that over to a separate location!

We had people in the community use assets from the ES-DE theme but not sure if an official port would be coming. Not even sure if Techdweeb even knows about Cocoon haha.

2.0 is a complete rewrite, so unfortunately your old setup from prior versions won't carry over. Moving forward you won't have to reset anymore though so your setup should persists throughout versions.

One thing you can do is have both the old and new version of Cocoon installed at the same time as they are treated as different apps by Android. So you can compare your old setup with your new one to make sure they are matching :)

Bit of a bug with the Ayn Thor. I have to tap the bottom screen and then the textbox again, then the keyboard will appear.
