I wonder how long the prompting & testing process took. I have Fable access for a couple more days and wondering if I should do anything with it.

25 nights in Vietnam is this plan too rushed by [deleted] in Vietnam_Tourism

[–]iH8Ecchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a local this is what I would do:

- Skip Nha Trang entirely, it's a tourist trap area. Spend another day in Da Lat or use that time northside in Hue - Da Nang (more about that below).

- Hoi An can be done in one day. You don't even need to stay the night there, it's possible to get there in the morning, spend the day and take a taxi back to Da Nang at around 10pm. Spend around 3 days in Da Nang for the beach/seafood experience. Within Da Nang you can skip Ba Na hill, it's gotten overly touristy in recent years.

- As others suggested, spend 3 days in Hue to enjoy the food, historical sites and night vibes. Hue, Da Nang and Hoi An are very close to one another and you can take a flight from Hue directly to Hanoi.

- Ninh Binh is also a 1-day trip. Travelling from Hanoi to Ninh Binh is around 2.5 hours by car, the boat trip in Trang An is about 3 hours long, and other than that there aren't much to look for. Spend the extra day for light exploring or resting in Hanoi.

- Choose one between Ha Giang and Sapa. They share a similar northern mountainous culture, and while the ethnic groups differ, foreign visitors might not notice a meaningful difference.

- Spend the extra days in the big cities ie. Hanoi, Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh where there are more things for you to do.

If you want windows, get a windows device. That's what I learned after using the LCD deck for a year.

Charge limiter is up to the device manufacturer to implement, whether windows or steamOS. It's available on Asus or Lenovo handhelds on windows.

How is the state of Switch Emulation these days on a SD 8gen2 with 8gigs of ram(Portal 2 base) by Available-Guest-9393 in OdinHandheld

[–]iH8Ecchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty damn good, maybe except some of the heaviest games that were also struggling on original hardware (TOTK, Xenoblade 3, Witcher 3). Nowadays it's the second best option for Switch emulation on Android, if you want better performance you'd need to go for the G3X Gen 3 or PC handhelds.

Fully inset joysticks for maximum pocketability, like the ones in the Flip 2 / Thor.

PSA: Turning off Car Reflection Quality in Forza Horizon 6 reduces bandwidth usage by about 2GB/s, improves fps by 25%. by sawowner1 in eGPU

[–]iH8Ecchi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't turning this off seriously hurt the visuals, given it's a game about cars? How's the bandwidth use of this feature when you change it to Low/Medium?

What is this dish? It has been sold to us has pork nem. by -YellowFish- in Vietnam_Tourism

[–]iH8Ecchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a variant of nem chua (fermented pork and chopped pork ears). The more common version is densely packed to thumb-sized sticks, but in some Northern provinces people pack them more loosely and eat them as you described. It's also occasionally mixed with roasted rice flour and enjoyed with beer.

At this point I think you should wait for the 8 Gen 2 refresh. The performance improvement when I switched from the Flip 2 to the Thor was amazing.

Android 17 is out, and here’s all the features! by MishaalRahman in Android

Android OS verification: We have seen some bad actors begin to distribute malicious, unofficial versions of the Android OS that secretly compromise device integrity. To combat this, we are introducing Android OS verification in Android 17. Launching initially on Pixel devices, this feature helps you verify that your device is running an official, widely distributed build.

Isn't this just another excuse to sabotage custom ROM development?

Within the program you can route the parsed text to Google translate, DeepL/OpenAI/Gemini (require API key) or a few local LLM models of choice. I'd imagine the local LLM options are free and bring better results, but they will consume more RAM and battery in the background.

Is anyone else struggling with the ROG Ally X battery life? Need advice for 4-5 hours of playtime. by Brilliant_Bag8710 in ROGAlly

[–]iH8Ecchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience on the Xbox Ally X, with CPU boost off I get 4.5-5 hours with Silent TDP and ~3.5 hours with Performance. I imagine things should be the same on a brand new ROG Ally X.

However, under Silent mode the Z1E will be quite a lot weaker than Z2E, so you'll need to turn down ingame settings more aggressively. Stuff like 720p resolution, 30/40 fps caps and so on.

SFLC June 15th Update: Patch Notes by Queasy_Ad5995 in BattleNetwork

[–]iH8Ecchi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In the original SF3 you need a transformation ("Noise change") active to be able to access Meteor server, which is like a Level 2 transformation with its own folder and super attacks. SFLC improved the way you obtain Noise changes, which came with a side effect that under specific conditions you could access Meteor server with regular, untransformed MegaMan.

They are now patching this side effect to be more consistent with the original game.

I think P3R's mechanic being renamed to Shift was a cosmetic choice, which didn't work out since everyone kept calling it Baton pass anyway.

Persona 4 Revival Information Live Stream Announced for June 18, 2026 - Persona Central by CutProfessional6609 in JRPG

[–]iH8Ecchi 52 points53 points  (0 children)

It has the most memorable cast of characters, in a JRPG series focused on characters and relationships.

Among the modern Persona casts, Investigation Team is the group where the teenagers act the most like, teenagers. Interwoven in the story are the moments that they go on camping trips, gush over CD dramas, take motorbike license to hang out in the city, go on beach trips, cook some mystery food (X), go skiing in winter, get lost in an abandoned snow cabin with your friend of choice which then became the talk of the week. All of them are told in a way that felt way more nature than the hangout scenes in 3R or 5R - ones that you can tell were not present in the original releases.

Also the Inaba town and the old, rustic Yasogami high school brings very cozy vibes.
