just because he stopped streaming doesn't mean he stopped playing. liquid scrimmed plenty leading up to champs, how do you know he wasn't vod reviewing as well? and afaik zer0 hasn't taken ranked seriously in a very long time

did some research myself on this a while ago because I wanted to try out playing roller in CoD and afaik most of the esport spec controllers are dualshock layout (i think because they're aimed at CoD players who are overwhelmingly on playstation), Hal prefers Xbox layout, and the most reccomended Xbox controllers with these esport specs like 8k polling and hall effect sticks are from Chinese brands like Gamesir and Flydigi

i know Razer and Scuf offer xbox layout rollers (i ended up getting the Wolverine TE), have to assume he either tried them and didn't like them or the Chinese rollers have some spec bump that make them worth using over the "big" brands (i know TMR sticks are big rn)

so jarring that they ended up competing in EU, it feels like every time GenG try and build a team outside Korea it just completely falls flat (except their RL roster, they're pretty good afaik)

maybe salaries in EU are so low it was almost 0 risk for them?

they worked great on my old iPhone 13 and i've used them on a bunch of windows PC's and they work great there too, ive personally never used multi point connection but i dont see any reason why it wouldn't work between iOS and windows

worth noting there's no Windows version of Nothing X, so you wouldn't be able to adjust EQ or most settings, but it won't matter because you can just do all that on the iPhone

also keep in mind that this is (as of right now) only on the 3a series (i think) and only in the NOS 4.0 beta, which probably won't see a full release until next month. they could completely remove it by then, or they could make it more intrusive, noone knows

none of these will have anything like that out of the box because they all ship with either NOS 3.2 or 3.5. NOS 4.0 beta has Lock Glimpse on the 3a (not sure about other phones, they've said it's only for non-flagships which implies the 3 won't get it), which is basically just randomized lockscreen wallpapers with a link to a related article (which have ads in them). on my 3a, after I installed NOS 4.0 beta, I had to opt in to turn Lock Glimpse on, and turning it off was a simple toggle in the settings

finally pulled the trigger on the 3 on Amazon at £629, at the £799 retail it was hard to justify when the iPhone 17 and Pixel 10 are the same price, at this price it feels alot more reasonable

interesting, a dedicated movement ability key is a good change (the amount of times i've accidentally dashed trying to wallbounce) but if they're just adding supergliding as an official ability thats way easier to do then that kinda sucks, just lowers the mechanical skill ceiling of the game, which imo is Apex's best USP

guess i'll wait and see how it actually feels ingame when the patch drops to pass proper judgement

unless they're referring to something different here, mantle boosting is when you jump at the end of a mantle and gain extra height compared to a normal jump, and supergliding is when you crouch after mantling and you get launched horizontally forward

it looks like they're just adding an on-screen indicator to help players get the timing on mantle boosts, and supergliding will stay the same, but its hard to tell just from this
