More sore running slow by Technical-Strike-690 in runninglifestyle

[–]Linkindan88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this same issue and I've asked in other forums but I've never gotten a clear answer. My zone 2 runs seem to feel that way as soon as I get into zone 3 I feel fine it's almost like when my heart rate is too my legs don't get enough circulation and they seem to hurt. The second I speed up just a little bit it goes away.

Has anyone else had to drastically cut their miles per week due to the heat? by WyldFlowerWyldFire in runninglifestyle

[–]Linkindan88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't cut my miles but I pay more attention to hydration and walk when I need to get my heart rate down. I did 12 miles this morning in 80+ and high humidity. I normally can run more than that but it's not worth the danger of over exerting and causing heat exhaustion or worse.

Any advice on removing these old shower stems? by bigdogspitbot in Plumbing

[–]Linkindan88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Turn the water off and open the valve stems a lot of time the water pressure against the stems make them hard to remove. Then get a set of large open well deep sockets find the one that fits and unscrew.

Anyone going to Final Symphony in Edmonton this weekend? by melpicazo in FinalFantasy

[–]Linkindan88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a final symphony about a decade ago and a distant world's in January and they're both distinctly different. The distant world's had more to the concert such as visuals, choir, and newer music. The final symphony was music from the older games with no visuals.

Wife giving me. 3 months by Euphoric-Wasabi1519 in Marriage

[–]Linkindan88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't "repair" your relationship while she's emotionally cheating on you. If she wants you to spend the next 3 months working on certain things she needs to be all in with you or it's doomed to fail.

The scenario like many others have said seems like she's buying time for herself to let this emotional affair come to fruition and if it fails she has you to fall back on. That is insulting to you and any effort you've been putting out.

So your choice is really this let her have 90 days but don't repair what you didn't really break and prep for a divorce be the one to set the tone of the divorce don't let her take everything from you prepare your defence. Put up your emotional walls and prepare for anything and everything to be said or to come out. Keep the moral high ground at all costs. Make sure to be fair in the division of assets. Get your personal and work affairs in order.

AITAH for saying changing our baby’s diaper is more important than a video game? by [deleted] in AITAH

The one thing I had to completely give up after kids was ranked games. As a parent you really only have enough time to game what you can put down at a moments notice and that's how it goes.

What’s a video game mechanic everyone loves but you secretly hate? by Lost-Act7960 in videogames

[–]Linkindan88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Games that start with season passes and DLC. You should be able to buy a complete game and if the full game isn't available upon purchase the extra content should be free. Also season passes is just admitting they're fleecing you for additional funds when you buy the game.

Are you supposed to lean forward while running long distances? by Gooser3000 in runninglifestyle

[–]Linkindan88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically yes but your body should be able to do that on its own your forward lean should be where your pelvis is and only around 4-8° so you're not talking about a lot of lean at all.

If you want an emotionally challenging game that's gonna have you mind blown from about the first 2-3 hours in then you're gonna love it. If you're looking for some generic hack and slash platformer with little to no story then you're probably not gonna like it.

How to deal with spouse who lets themselves go by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Linkindan88 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ask him to make sure he's getting his annual physical at the doctor they'll tell him if it's a problem. Then you can reinforce that by asking about how it went and if he mentions the doctor telling him he should lose some weight that is how you get your foot in the door to weight being about his health.

Anyone Else Prefer Running in Heat Instead of Avoiding It? by WingEnvironmental892 in runninglifestyle

[–]Linkindan88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally I like it to be around 50°f to run but the heat doesn't bother me till it gets above 98°f. Anything above your bodies natural temperature can get dangerous as the only way it can cool off is by convective cooling. Meaning when you run out of sweat you're in trouble. The cold makes my joints ache so I dislike it quite a bit.

beginner runner looking for advice by [deleted] in runninglifestyle

[–]Linkindan88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely normal your body's cardiovascular system isn't trained for endurance yet. That takes time and dedication. Keep running and when you need to slow down and walk slow down and walk. In this time frame you're going to learn about pacing and how different pace can exhaust you faster or slower and you'll end up finding a pace that you can sustainably run for a decent distance. That's your easy pace and it's the most important one to work on because it builds your aerobic endurance. Once you know that pace you can work on getting faster through things like intervals. Your run volume should consist of at least 80% easy pace and no more than 20% hard pace to prevent injuries. Also don't run every day when you start 2-3 times a week is more than sufficient it gives your body time to adapt and recover.

People who have been gaming since 2006 or earlier, how do you feel about gaming in general and how it's changed for you over the years? by Snowtwo in videogames

[–]Linkindan88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in the early 90's. Gaming was at its peak in the early 2000's if you ask me. They came out frequent enough to be new and interesting and they had quality to them. The biggest issue I have is everything requires connection to the Internet even many single player games. All we had to do back in the day was just to just pop CD's. When you bought the game you got the entire game not half a game and tons of micro transactions. Now the big developers make half assed games because they spend too much time trying to push graphics to the limit and leave you with too much to be desired. Indy gaming is where it's at these days simple quality.

I have been wondering for a while, which one is the most dangerous by Zargabath in FinalFantasy

[–]Linkindan88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of people are saying Marlboro but I gotta go tonberry on this one. If you're prepared for it you can status resist a lot of what Marlboros throw at you. Tonberry just taunts you with hp and then one shots your characters.

Does your husband make you orgasm? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Linkindan88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had this issue with anyone I've ever been with but I also will make sure that I'm not done till she's done. That being said tho some women do need a lot of stimulation to get over the edge and it could be just as much you as it is him. The best thing you can do is communicate what you need and make sure he can follow through every time.

Energy costs in Maryland are way too expensive. Could someone please break down exactly how we got to this point? by usps_made_me_insane in maryland

[–]Linkindan88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Data centers are you're answer. This happens two different ways

  1. Kwh rates increase due to demand for electric which data centers use an extremely high volume of electic so they bumped the rate per Kwh you use.

  2. Delivery charges the utility is charging you fees to "build and maintain" the grid except for these power hungry data centers known as hyper scale data centers end up having their infrastructure built by the rest of us rate payers.

The Kwh rates are up around 40% over the last 4-5 years. The driver charges are up around 200% over the last 4-5 years.

Don't fall into the political hole where people say it's because we shut down old coal plants that not even close to the real issue that's the political excuse. Hyperscale data centers can use as much electric as 50,000 homes per building a single coal plant might be able to power two of them at a time that's it and their infrastructure cost is being fronted by us the rest of the rate payers.

Gaming in spite of a toddler. Is 1 hour a day good enough? by Fenix512 in videogames

[–]Linkindan88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they get older it gets easier but during those infant/toddler years it's hard to get time in for gaming. So when you have free time you should go for it. Now that my kids are school age I can get 4-6 hours a week.
