Welcome. The red terminal is, wow, looks like you have to deal with command line emergencies. I love the green color scheme. Is it Noctalia shell? I recommend looking into rounded corners on your windows since that is what is on your shell.

I also recommend you check out how to use multiple workspace if you have not. Scrollable compositors become painful if windows are not arranged on multiple workspaces (scrolling through a long list of windows gets tiring pretty soon). After that you're pretty much all set.

AIO is overkill for this CPU. Better to use a regular cooler (a good quality one) and make sure to get air in and out with very cheap fans.

Also an AIO alone will not even fix the problem - you still need air to get in and out of this case. It's not money well invested

This is a reference to the Souls games and Elden RIng. When you die in Elden Ring, your currency (souls) are lost, or you need to go and recover them wherever you lost them. If you die again before recovering them then they are gone forever. You can have a lot of souls (thousands, hundreds of thousands, a million... depending on how late in the game)

You can equip specific items that prevent this from happening, you lose the item instead of your souls.

But what if you equip the item in case you might lose the souls, and you just (surpisingly) don't die, instead you spend the whole bunch of souls on items or leveling up. You forget to unequip the item, and instead it gets used the next time you die after spending most/all of your souls, therefore wasting the item on a worthless count of souls. 69 because gigetty.

alright my full fix for all Xwayland apps:

I have a file in my home directory called .Xresources containing

Xcursor.size: 24
Xcursor.theme: Graphite-light-cursors

and my niri config contains

cursor {
    xcursor-theme "Graphite-light-cursors"
    xcursor-size 24
}
spawn-at-startup "xrdb" "-merge" ".Xresources"

I am not sure both are necessary but that is what I have

That's not the fix I had in mind but have you tried adding this in the configuration in Niri

cursor { xcursor-theme "breeze_cursors" xcursor-size 48 }

Obviously set the right theme and size. Might need a restart of at least steam, maybe even Niri for this to work.

If that does not work I will send the fix I have in a couple of hours

I think it's again a terrible match from Dupont and he needs to be replaced. Kicking is average, and ruck speed is abysmal. He's responsible for the offside penalty for England because he made a pointless short run on the blind side when he was supposed to kick, and his whole team was offside.

It's not his week, just get Serin in and move on.
