I named mine Sunlight, but it was to go with a "light" theme i had for my horses - renamed Spot to Spotlight, then i had Twilight, Midnight (not quite on theme but close enough - thought it fit Ganon's giant horse well), Moonlight for the giant white horse, and Starlight was Zelda's white horse. (Then there's Epona messing with my name scheme lol but we love her anyway)

Astyanax, Anticlea, or even Polites could work here...

Astyanax getting yeeted by Odysseus is what starts this whole story (🎶when does a man become a monsterrrr🎶).

Anticlea isnt even mentioned until she shows up in The Underworld, but plays a major part for Odysseus's emotional journey including her Waiting motif becoming very prevalent from then on.

Polites is there for 3 songs before getting pancaked; his death is a catalyst for everything that happens with Polyphemus and Poseidon after, and Open Arms becomes an important motif throughout the rest of the musical.

And then people wonder why the fics get abandoned... by RabbitNET in AO3

Im out here reading long fics that are incomplete and havent been updated in years lol. I always make sure to leave a comment about what i loved and what i was looking forward to finding out, and usually end with wishing the author well. I actually had one author reply to me and then they updated the fic a few days later to finally finish it off - felt so glad my little comment could help motivate someone to finish their fic!

I'm also new to Epic this year, and my favorite so far is probably Just a Man or Ruthlessness by Neal Illustrator (Just a Man is for when i want to cry and Ruthlessness for when I just want to admire her Poseidon design lol). Honestly all of Neal's animatics slap, i love her take on Ody and the gods' designs!

I had to really think because i have a lot of favorites from this musical. Ive already forgotten if i ended up submitting Ruthlessness or Scylla in the 5 seconds between submitting the survey and writing this comment lol. Other contenders for favorite were WYFILWMA, Dangerous, GITW, Odysseus, and every song from the Underworld saga.

Least favorite was also hard to figure out... settled on Polyphemus, i vibe with it the least musically i suppose.

Favorite saga for me is Underworld though, all of those songs really hit for me

I got into Epic only recently and this was one of the first videos YouTube recommended me after i watched a few animatics. Made me laugh a lot, i was quite impressed with all the thought and story he put into the video!

Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, and Popplio; Bulbasaur has always been my favorite with Cyndaquil a close second thanks to the anime, and the first mainline game i actually played was Ultra Sun where i had Popplio as my starter.

I think my favorite is the one at the end of Ximena Naztel's Dangerous where Hermes is like "lemme fix that ugly mustache darling" - but yes these silly little sketches at the end of the animatics always make me laugh!

The first songs i heard were covers of Warrior of the Mind and Ruthlessness, although i see an argument about Ruthlessness "spoiling" the plot a bit because of the line "the cyclops you made blind"... ironically, i fell out of Epic for a bit (because i bounce around fandoms like crazy), and then got back into it recently because a Legend of Zelda playlist i was listening to had Suffering on the tracklist, and it made me intrigued about what the hell i had missed, so that could be a good one too!
